looks like it would be a great choice, sk-7 is a pretty damn good cooler.
Will these (SK-7 and Panaflo fan) work with the Duron 750 (oc to 850)? I assume they will work with the 1.1 Tbird later when I upgrade as well. Is that right? I have the Abit KT7A-RAID MB.

Don't waste your money on a sk7...just get a sk6+, I mean if it can cool my overclocked 1700+ to 2.4ghz, I don't see any problems cooling any other kind of amd cpu.

What type of fan do you have on it?

had a smartfan 2 connected to a rheobus. The sk6+ isn't in use any more though because I found a great deal on a slk-900u 🙂 Anyone in need of a sk6+?

What kind of fans do you guys recommend that has the lowest noise. The one i have is killing me🙁
For quiet 80mm fans, everyone loves the Panaflo L1A's. NMB fans are great also. Vantec stealth fans are a good second choice. They come in 80mm and 60mm for CPU heatsinks.

There are fans with adjustable "noise".

Compare the price after shipping for both of them.

SK-7 is bigger than SK-6+. More copper area - better heatsink.
I think with the discount code SK-7 is a better bet because SK-7 can be compared to other $40 heatsinks.

Funny, the discounted SK-7 from SVC isn't as cheap as the SK-7 from the above site if you include the shipping. It's buck and change cheaper above. I'm debating...I need cheap (and I mean cheap) coolers. hmmmmm

$1.99 cooler. super cheap

$4.99 cooler. little bit better, no complaints

$7.99 cooler. quality goods, you can even OC a little with this guy

these include the fans too. if you just want super cheap, take the first. if you want something with a little more quality, take the second. if you are looking for bang for the buck, the last packs a wallup for $8.

wow, SVC just dropped the price on the GC69 to $5.50. here is the link: http://www.svc.com/svcgc69.html

kick ass deal

Its been 5.50 for awhile

i have bought a bunch of these sk-6s for myself and friends from SVC for 10.99 and run the huge and powerful(watch your fingers) Vantec Tornado 92mm monster case fan on them.

the fan WILL fit with the included longer clips. it will require some effort and you will have to bend them to fit over the fan housing. once you get them somewhat in place, affix a fan guard over them to keep them from popping off.

i run 25-30C on a 2500 Barton overclocked to 3000.

great heatsink fan combo for cheap.

Definitely a nice heatsink for the price. I have the sk6+, AX7, SK7 and like them all. Keeps all the comps nice and cool. Good deal for $9.00

There was recently a hot deal posted here on the SK-7. The vendor shipped me 3 when I ordered 2. Final cost was $9.99 each plus shipping. 😀

Very good deal, company shipped 2 days after ordering since it was on a friday when i ordered..

Shipment was fast and everything is here.
