theres a duck in my backyard

I went to the backyard to take the garbage cans out and found a duck. Anyone have an idea what kind of duck it is? I have no idea what its doing here or where it came from. I have no idea what to do, and I don't feel like eating it.

ok I think it'll take me around half an hour to try out all those suggestions. Should I be concerned if it never leaves? I don't know sh!t about animals and I can't tell if its hurt or not...
