My main issue with Carrie Prejean is that she willingly became a poster child for the anti-gay marriage people. The problem is that this isn't what the Bible suggests you to do about people who are sinning. There are multiple examples of Jesus pissing off the Pharisees by interacting with sinners, poor people, etc because he shows love to them, not judgment and hate. The religious nut jobs are not acting like Jesus but like the Pharisees who only care about the rules and not about showing God's love.

There are no perfect Christians and whether or not she made this sex tape does not change that and doesn't affect how I view her. However, if she wants to be the symbol for an anti-sinning belief, she's going to be held to the secular world's hypocrisy standards. She is judging gays for a sexual sin when she herself is committing sexual sins. The nude photos of her already showed that. Causing people to sin (lust) is a sin.

Basically, she can believe what she wants but she needs to shut up and disappear.

I don't use the OT to live my life or to decide what specific actions are sins or not. You can live your life to the letter of the OT and still be empty of God's love. Jesus does not address the issue of homosexuality. The OT does because homosexual acts were often a part of other religions and also why it is a sin to worship idols. In the NT, Paul does call the homosexual lifestyle sinful and I don't dismiss that. I'm "pro-gay" because I can't change who they are and rather than creating a barrier between homosexuals and Christianity, I'd rather accept them and show them God's love. I don't advocate gay sex and I believe that people don't have to stop all sinning and clean up before seeking God because we can only be cleaned through Jesus.

1 Corinthians has a lot to say about the Carrie Prejean situation.

In 1 Corr. 5:12 says 'What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.” ' Paul is saying not to condemn those who are not believers. God will be their judge, not us.

1 Corr. 10:31-33 says, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 32 Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God— 33 even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved." Carrie Prejean's racy photos do just that. So, both the man with lust looking at Prejean's tape or pictures and Prejean who is purposefully causing that to happen are sinful. The next chapter of 1 Corr. is related and goes on to talk about women keeping their heads covered in church. This is where we need to understand the basis of Paul's writing. In Corinth, leaving your head uncovered would be like walking around in a bikini in today's times. Leaving your head uncovered does not cause any lust in today's society, but going to church in a bikini would.

All Christians sin so I am not saying she is anyone special. However, she is public (the modeling photos) with her sins and that is viewed in the secular world with hypocrisy when she is condemning a group of people for sinning. Having the sex tape and racy photos only change the world's view of her.
