That's a pretty broad question. The communists had the right idea (starve, torture, subjugate,) but lacked the resources to compete with the West. Until the British intervened on behalf of the government, they were losing badly to the communists.
 
This explains Hamas and what they think of the Palestinian civilians...without this...the world IMO would be totally against Israel....

I didn't say Israel was worse than Hamas. I find them both to be deeply immoral. When you're talking about two scumbags you don't talk about which one holds the moral high ground over the other. They are both atrocious. The only difference is that everyone admits that Hamas is awful but some people try to act as apologists for Israel's actions.

Israel has many positive qualities but that doesn't excuse their behavior here.

You said the only way to do it was through torture and subjugation. That seems to show pretty clearly that isn't the case.

They closed all their settlements in Gaza in 2005, and all but a few in the West Bank. Only recently have they talked about expanding settlements in the West Bank.

Notice all the fighting is in the Gaza Strip where, there are no settlements.

Just imagine how those in San Diego would feel if the Mexicans cut off the city and control supplies as well as people coming in and out of the city. I'm sure the citizens would roll over and not use every means of fighting back.

A handful of guys can't just start torturing their neighbors and espousing a foreign ideology. That'll cause the government to come kick their teeth in. Unless it's in an oil rich country, then it'll cause Western governments to come kick their teeth in.

I set the conditions in which it works, and gave examples. You're being obtuse because you love to argue, even with people who don't care. BTW Small Wars Journal is full of articles about the Dhofar Rebellion because every suckup, COIN-koolaid drinking Army officer in Iraq that wanted to impress Petraeus liked to compare their province to it.

I am sorry but you are not being honest and you are simplifying things because you don`t want to be faced with the truth...

The truth is if the local government in San Diego was intercepting food and water and supplies meant for the local people.
Then taking those food and supplies to using it to make missiles and dig tunnels and feed the local government and very little if any trickled down to the populace....

The local populace who elected those officials would be at fault and I imagine quite scared for the welfare of their families but really could do nothing about the local government, except to help the local government to dig tunnels and lob missiles at the Mexicans......

People like you put your head in the sand and refuse to believe that Hamas is the sole and only cause of this...
Israel has a right to defend itself.....

As would any nation. We go to great extremes to protect civilians, exposing our soldiers to much greater risks, but even so we do kill civilians. It's pretty much inescapable in modern warfare where armies no longer meet on wide open plains. And we would go to much greater extremes when it's our civilians who are in danger.
