The Yellows!

Everyone else shows their rides, so why not? The vette is mine and the solstice is my wife's (mini-vette!).

2007 Corvette auto 6 - full exhaust, IC'd vortech v2 @ 5psi, 540RWHP 495RWTQ, lots of electronic upgrades and goodies.

2007 Solstice GXP - custom aftermarket sub, GPS head unit, GMPP turbo upgrade 290HP/340TQ (never dyno'd. wife only lets me do so much to her car!).

Then we have our commuter cars. Even though both of these bad girls get over 30MPG on the highway.

And yes, my vette is an auto. I had a 2004 Mustang GT for a few years that was a stick and... Lets just say it was quite a bit faster and meaner than the vette. Sitting in Northern VA traffic with a stick again is out of the question! I also bought my 2007 *used* in like January of 2008 with 4k miles. The owner wanted the new 2008 cause of the extra ~27HP the new LS3 had. I could care less since I knew I was going to blow the motor anyway. Got it for a freaking STEAL.

I may be selling the vette for something more practical to get in and out of. Coming up on my second back surgery and I can't keep crawling out of this thing. Looking at a nice Caddy CTS-V next. 😛~~~

So yep, there's the yellows! Aren't they adorable together?

Nice! I really like the Solstice/Sky cars - haven't driven one, though. They look like a blast.

Not saying the Corvette isn't, of course.. 😀

the solstice is super fun! it's like a high powered go-kart! 😀

and yes, an auto vette. i had a mustang gt with a spec 3 and i vowed to never have a sports car with a stick in this area again!

Do you live in Richmond? The traffic in that area is truly awful. I took a vacation road trip there a couple of years ago, and every day I would drive to my destination from the hotel early in the morning (take about 15-30 minutes) and drive back to the hotel at evening (1-2 hrs)

And God forbid you're anywhere between Richmond and DC

The nice thing is, being a predominantly Massachusetts driver, I find muscling my way around in the southern states a breeze lol

Beautiful cars by the way!

i live in chantilly (~20 miles from DC)... so it takes probably 10 minutes to drive 2 miles anywhere. god forbid there's roadwork (daily on almost every road here) or an accident, it takes about 30 minutes to go 1 mile.

my friend from NY told me i had bad traffic...

what you need is an at-at walker.

thumbs up on the cars

because i love pull-me-over yellow! 😀

although, side-story, i've never gotten a single ticket for anything in my whole life (i'm 29).

Both very nice cars, but yellow, gah... just my opinion.

Not one single ticket? not even a photo radar? nothing? I dont know whether to be impressed or not. haha!

At least the Vettes can have beastly low-end torque, so it's not nearly the performance hit it would be on something like an S2K.

Obviously it's more fun to row your own, but it could be worse 🙂

yeah. add in the fact it's a 6 speed auto, the drivetrain loss is about equal to a stick.

i do miss being able to shift in my own car, but i don't miss it when i sit in traffic. it's got paddle shifters, so i can sort of have some fun.

2007 Velocity Yellow C6 here. 🙂

Just passed 6k miles. Yes, I do need to drive it more.

Why Yellow? Because it's the best color! Had a Speed Yellow Boxster as my first sports car.

ooooo... like the porsche. friend had a 2002 awd tt upgraded turbos and exhaust. the way that thing pulled made my vette feel like a civic :O

Porsche is my older cousin's. His and mine are both stock motor and auto. Both are about equal in performance but I think my car is slightly faster. 😛 My wife wanted me to buy the auto so I did; his wife bought the Turbo for him as a gift so he wouldn't feel left out and she only wanted the auto. Not that he cared. We both can drive sticks and had manual cars before. Plus if we really need to feel like a man and drive a stick we can always borrow his brother's Ferrari. It's 6 speed manual.
