cool thanks. I really havent looked into DRM to much. I dont do to much music ripping or anything. Though i will prob rip all my car cds, because I got a mp3 player head unit now, and usb.

When i think about DRM i think about not being able to play files? Something i have never experienced in vista, using vlc. And I think about games having limited installs... gotta admit im pretty ignorant on the issue of DRM. Probably something a simple google search would fix via a wiki... maybe latter, i got a test tomorrow

i did read both links though... good stuff. And im not a vista or microsoft hater 🙂 Wish we had more options that could do EVERYTHING windows can do but o well....

it doesn't have to do with ripping, just recording the audio from somewhere between the app outputting the audio, and the DAC that spits out the analog signal.

WMP seems more stable after the update to it. been running 8 hours with the full set of test videos with nary a crash

random x264 HD TV show MKV, Soft Subbed Anime MKV, my own x264 encode MP4, MPEG-2 HD Transport Stream, MPEG4 ASP AVI.

edit: up to hour 16. grats MS!
