iam really having trouble with the uac earlier
i always used to think that it was the firewall and turned it off and got infected by some virus
That pretty much sums up why you need to use the defaults, you cant be trusted with an open system.

wtf.
English, please.
i don't know anyone using Vista with Flash problems. i've used Vista with a 5200 with no video issues. please include examples, otherwise your post is as useless as someone talking to a mechanic and saying "my car has issues in the morning. i just don't get it."
also, this isn't a Vista thread.

That article is utter crap. The Adobe problem is because they were using a bad crack, and Local Settings no longer exists since Vista did away with it (it's now a junction, which Explorer doesn't follow). I can't recall the last time I saw such a terrible article on Slashdot.Originally posted by: KeypoX

Why did Microsoft have to come out with new, buggy, and incompatible versions of two of the most-used built-in apps bundled with the OS.
I have a friend that installed Windows 7 beta 1, and he's having a heck of a time getting online television media players to work properly. I can just imagine how corporations are going to feel, as I'm sure that they probably just standardized on IE7, and now MS rolls out IE8.
Why do we need a new browser anyways? What was wrong with IE7? I thought that it was the best version of IE yet, best security and the most standards-compliant (compared to IE5 and IE6).
I'm not sure what you're getting at with a crack. As for the audio, that's nothing new, Vista does the same thing. Which is to say, it's just a setting, you're not blocked from copying audio.Originally posted by: plonk420
because it's awwwwite using a good crack vs a bad crack?
i'm more disturbed at the audio revelation in the post...

Like I said before, this is without a doubt the worst article ever. It's a tragedy of user errors due to a massively undersized brain.
Yep. Everything on that article is wrong, that's why it's so bad. There is nothing I've found in W7 that is any different than Vista.Originally posted by: soonerproud
Here is Adrian Kingsley-Hughes blog post on ZDNet concerning that article.
Worst. Windows 7. Piece. EVER!
