The world's best wife

Last night our power went out. It was a quick jolt followed by 5-6 off/ons. I was on AT at the time actually. Our power was out for 6 hours. When it came back on at midnight or so, naturally I decided to fire up the PC to see how it made out. Long story short - my mobo is fried and I will most likely have to RMA it - my PSU was plugged directly into the wall - no surge protector etc (smrt). At least I'm thinking that's what happened. So being the computer fiend I am, I was pretty ticked off and left for work this morning pretty ruffled because I was supposed to do some LANing tomorrow.

I arrive at work, and I have an email from my wife:

hi honey,
sorry about your computer, but you will find a way to fix
it. I wasn't sure if you were going to need any specs today
at work, so I looked at the motherboard box:
A7N8X (i'm sure you know this)
www.asus.com
and, if you want i can email them as an irate wife who
bought her husband the MB as a gift and will not wait a
month to have a gift replaced (i'm pretty good at it,
that's how i always get to return stuff, and you could
check it before i send it if you want)
just trying to help,
love
(wife)

HOW SWEET IS THAT?!?! Suddenly I could care less about my computer woes.

congrats 😀

my wife watches our daughter all day, keeps the house in order, does the laundry, cooks dinner, does all of our finances and works at h&r block doing tax returns evenings during tax season.

she is superwoman.

and don't ever take that for granted.

My wife likes to hike with me in high places, and she gets me to go where I would not go on my own power (read: I have a fear of heights, but being with her gets me past it)

She's also a fine, fine cook. And she likes football.

<true sincerity> I'm the luckiest guy in the world </true sincerity>

Very nice... 🙂 My girlfriend is exactly the same... willing to do anything at all for me, without even asking... so great... 🙂

You guys are all full of BS, no offense. The greatest wife in the world is MINE!

Let's see - takes care of 3 boys, ages 6 and under, while I get to go to work. 47 zillion loads of laundry a week... keeps the house (relatively) clean... cooks almost every night... constantly at the grocery store to keep us stocked with food... house accountant... all the while, she's kept her 5'5", 125lb, 34DD-26-34 figure looking outstanding - the same as when we met. Oh yeah, she puts up with me, which is probably her toughest task.

Sigh....I'm soooooooo in love. You poor, poor bastards. No offense.

Wow. My only question is: how the hell do these amazing women do it.

And regarding another thread (tougher to me male or female)... when you look at these women, it's academic baby!! Damn do we have it made or what?!

BIG PROPS TO ALL HARD-WORKING WIVES OUT THERE!

Not being sarcastic, but I think that's probably the most notable accomplishment there. Most people fall apart after marriage, let alone after three kids.

The agreed weekly limit is $200, but she rarely spends that amount on food, gas, or household supplies. Plus she brought her own copy of World of Warcraft. 🙂
