Yea this company is really good. Let them work it out and I'm sure it will be a great rpg. It is suppose to have fast travel this time too. Also I hope they didn't go the assassins creed route now that you can use boats and horses. But the witcher play style is different.

I wonder if the visuals will change by the time the game is out. But this isn't Ubisoft we are talking about. Anyway I can't wait for it. I started a second play through in witcher 2.

I just wish they would get this done so they can put their focus into getting Cyberpunk 2077 out.....some day.

CDPR has multiple different teams working on different games. Cyberpunk 2077 has it's own dedicated team and whatever happens with TW3 is not going to affect Cyberpunk.

Yes, yes they will. Seems some of their folks believe the difference between 720p and 1080 is not really "meaningful" to gamers....... 😱

:'(

I actually agree with that statement. Most console gamers wouldn't notice the difference between 720 and 1080 sitting 6-8 feet away from their TV screen. I think that their definition of "gamers" in that article was geared towards your average console gamer, especially since that article was talking specifically about ps4 /xbone.

Add PC to that as well. I keep mine hooked up to my TV with a 25' HDMI cable as a second monitor for controller games, and, despite running high/ultra 1080p settings on most games, there's not much to differentiate outside of framerates. I'm around 10' away. 720 -> 1080 isn't as obvious as you'd think, and 900 -> 1080 is pretty much an academic difference from regular playing distance, same for AA above 2x, and so on.

I disagree. The bigger the screen the more likely it is to notice low resolutions. Irregardless of the console issues, I hope the same logic does not apply when it comes time to make the PC version. It's already bad enough that it sounds like a console port.

Yea on a 32 inch you probably would not notice it. I think on 42" and bigger the closer you sit the easier it is to tell between 720 and 1080.

I just hope there is none of that God awful dithering that plagued The Witcher 2. I loaded up the game just to see whether something has been done to fix it, but no dice. I'm talking about the horrible cross-hatching effect on shadows. Even now it isn't fixed. Yeah, uber sampling does fix it but the frame rate hit makes it unplayable. So strongly hoping for no dithering and better shadows.

It's been confirmed that the shadows dithering effect is not present in W3. It was an engine limitation

Just a FYI. Two of its prequel are on sale on Steam.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut - $2
The Witcher 2: Assasins of Kings Enhanced Edition - $4

The Witcher games seem to drop in price substantially not long after debut. Definitely not getting the 3rd installment at launch.

Yea good idea. It was like $6 bucks on steam a while ago. But this is also a long time after witcher 2 was released.

I would pay full price on launch just to support CDPR...and I NEVER buy games at full price.

I usually don't care and will buy games I want day one without question. I like to think I am letting the developers know I appreciate their work and want more games of that type.

Yeah I will pre-order this game simply because CDPR are a great company and they have a good track record and care about PC Gamers

TW1 and TW2 have come on sale dozens of times for a couple of bucks now. There's little excuse now to own both games. 🙂
