I can also confirm pooling works on Leviton switches and single poll dimmers. Turning on at the switch seems to update on the app faster than turning off and the android and iOS doesn't update at the same time (yes I use both, android tablet and iPhone). Also, its not nearly instant but within 10 seconds or so.

I just get the feeling that Wink is really beginning to come along. We've all been through several hub updates, each one improving on the last. I usually get the occasional pairing hiccup but it can usually be resolved.

Thanks Wink for keeping at it. Now, if we can just stop having to reply on their servers for local control................

Following-up. I spent a few hours over the weekend re-pairing a GE switch and GE outlet, both of which are logically called switches in the app. Both which I had previously paired, but then lost contact with the hub.

They turned on and off Sunday with no problem. Perfect status in the app. Come home this evening and neither turned on according to schedule. Wink thinks they are on, but they're not. The manual switch controls the circuit, but it's not communicating to Wink.

STv2 - hurry!
Sorry to quote myself, but will polling help my Z-Wave pairing issues? At this point, I've basically given up on anything not Wink-certified which means I've got a couple hundred dollars of wasted devices and I'm losing out on a lot of functionality.

Facebook post from a Wink employee 2 hours ago:

"Polling will be live for everyone in .77 hub firmware. It's rolling out over the next hour."

Everyone should see an update waiting for them in Wink app over the new few hours.

Ben K., Wink CEO, also posted yesterday afternoon that app version 2.8 should also be available in play store beginning of this week....woohoo!

It's nice to see some progress!

have you tried via the zwave inclusion control? either that or pairing as a generic "zwave switch" should work...

Went well, even gave me a notice that it was done and up to date. Ah, finally a freaking completion notice.

So where are the update reviews - my system has been working so well that I am afraid to 'screw the pooch' by upgrading.

Anyone who has updated, please report your findings.

I see you call your hub Marvin. I assume after the Martian?
I call mine Kevin. I had a cat named Kevin that was a huge pain in the A$$, much like my Wink hub!
I hope this update fixes some of the issues we were all having.

Might be too early to tell. But for fear of jinxing it, my hub has been rock solid after the update. So far, it's been responsive and accurate. Going to try and confuse it later tonight to test it's polling capabilities. For me, that has been the biggest pain, so we'll see how it fares after a couple total "power outages."

FreddieT - keep us posted. Can't wait to hear how it goes after you stress test it.

Well, FWIW, tonight I tried to use my lights and they wouldn't turn on at all. I then looked and saw the hub update was "required." Once I updated the hub, everything worked fine so you might not have a choice but to update.

BTW - thanks to the update buzz Im going to hit the required 25 posts to have a sig 😉

Edit: I guess I need to post 26 messages. I still have no option to create a signature in CP mode

In the last 2 weeks or so my GE Link bulbs (I have 2) light up by themselves mid day. I am not able to turn them off from the wink app and wink support's solution is to reset them and pair them again. I already did it for each and for a couple of days it behaves and then get stuck in the ON state again.
Reset and re-pair is a pain since I need to redefine all my schedules and robots.

Anyone else?

Thanks!

Latest from Wink - makes sense since the world must be downloading the update for the Hub.

Incident Report for Wink

Investigating
We are investigating degraded performance of the core API which could cause slowness in the propagation of commands and state between apps and devices.

I've had one turn on in the middle of the day once or twice, but it turned off from the app. Only had to re-pair a bulb once or twice though and that is since November.

New Wink app update just hit Google play and iTunes. This is getting serious on Wink's end! I think they saw how restless we we getting!

Once you update the iphone app, the hub is then notified to update and will go into update mode and be unavailable until update on hub is complete. I would assume the hub and remote lights will be inoperative during the update process.
