Of course I love my wife so I get her nice things
Oh, ninja edit....

I'm sure she appreciates the alone time.

I would go with the new Acer model. It's cheaper, faster, and has longer battery life. That Samsung model is over a year old without a refresh. I bought my daughter the Samsung Chromebook last Christmas. I wouldn't pay the same money for year old product.

great point. glad I posted in this thread! perhaps a trip to Best Buy will be in my future if Amazon is still out of stock by the weekend.

Well, at least her presents don't resemble the start to a horror movie. Fire, thermometer, steak knives, a mailbox and noise cancelling headphones so she can't hear you scream? Sounds like someone is getting cooked and mailed out as gifts this holiday season

I met my GF this year and we are now engaged. This is our first Christmas together.

Money is a little tight so we've set a 200 budget.

I want to get her a blue sapphire necklace ~100
I've got her a 2 player card game for us called lost cities ~20
I've got her a book about marriage ~10
I got a moose stuffed animal and moose socks (she's into moose this year) ~20
I want to make a picture collage of us and the pictures we have taken of nature, us in nature and of the milky way we shot. ~25

That's about it for my Christmas for her. A few other small stocking stuffer type stuff like a candle and chocolate and other nick nacks.

Now, since I've been doing so much thinking for my fiancee, what to get my mother?!?

$1K gas line for gas logs I don't care about? Yeah, that's me.

I am the guy that got her a mail box and a set of steak knives last time.:|
Already spent that $1k? You'd be better off pricing out a 100-150lb LP tank if that's the only appliance you're putting on that line. Otherwise, work with the gas company and ask if they'll cover any of the cost if you install additional appliances. (water heater/gas range/gas dryer/gas heat) My gas company covered the install of my lines up to the meter because I had a range, furnace, and gas logs all installed.

That's from the meter in. The parts aren't a lot but most of the pipe has to be cut and threaded individually. And you have to be between the joist to turn over.....labor intensive.

Mophie juice pack and anything witty I can find about her being an iAddict

Our Anniversary is 2 weeks before Xmas so she'll get a more relationship-y gift then.

Yup, called the Kinect 2.

Do people actually want to spend $100 for it though? It's nice and all but from my time using it, it seemed they made the menu a pain in the ass to find certain things so you almost HAVE to have the thing hooked up and listening or you'll spend tons of time searching for the right option or menu. Kind of an off putting experience in my opinion.
That and having blatantly shittier GPU and system memory are why I won't be buying an Xbox for myself.

My brother bought one and that's the one I used the most, but he is thinking of selling around Christmas and try to get $650 for the Xbox plus 2 games.

Obviously to each their own however

I'm getting her an mp3 player because she lost the zune I bought her when we started dating couple years ago. Ironic thing is this mp3 player is way way smaller lol.

I'll prolly get a shirt or something since she doesn't have much money.

Lego Star Wars Millenium Falcon
Kermit & Ms Piggy Muppets Figurines
Bluetooth Headset for her phone

Unfortunately she knows about the Lego thing already because of an Amazon wish list mix-up.
