It defaults to the Guided Search if you delete the cookie for the site (and occasionally just seems to change for no reason, maybe when they make changes to the site so the cookie isn't any good anymore).

Huh? That only takes you to the "standard system memory" though (exact same link as Newegg has for "standard system memory").

It does seem to be an artificial division, dependent on somebody at Newegg deciding which modules qualify as "gaming" memory and preventing users from easily comparing prices, which usually does mean at some point a retailer is trying to conceal pricing hijinks.
So yeah, it's annoying. How is DDR333 memory really any more "gaming"-centric than DDR266, no matter what the timings and heatsinking might be?
