Most expendable? Bob for sure then probably the lesbian and the hispanic lady, which is too bad because I like the latter two. Bob can go though; stupid drunk.

KT

You like Tara? I think she is the ugliest one (not to say she is ugly, just in comparison to the other fine ladies we have - well except Carol - I mean I really dont have a thing for the grandmas)

I like all of the chicks on the show now. After they disposed of Rick's wife and the blonde chick who loved the Governor, both of whom I loathed, the rest of them are cool. I do wish psycho Lizzie was still around though; I miss that whackjob.

Tara's character just seems so forced. It was like they thought "we need a tough, but gentle character for the LGBT community to relate to" and Tara's worthlessness was born.

And Bob can't die until after Tyrese. That is how the show goes. The fact Tyrese isn't dead is a testament to his strength! Once a new black guy shows up, the old black guy dies. Think about it: they get the two prisoners into their group and TDogg is killed off; Tyrese shows up and the black prisoner is conveniently whacked; Bob showing up only bodes as bad news for Tyrese.

I liked that movie. It helps that Keira Knightley was in it.

Had no idea who she was the first time I saw that movie and thought she was absolutely stunning in it.

Meh, I like Tara. /shrug

You are probably right about Bob and Tyrese. I like Tyrese more now than I did before; Bob is just irrelevant.

Oh wow, I didn't realize that the last episode was the season finale. I was trying to watch a new episode tonight but I can't

LOL, I know it sucks because I want to know what happens! I read the comic but this part is not in the comic.

Also, my two favorite characters were killed off in the show, the two blond girls! It was so entertaining watching Tyrese struggle with two blond girls and a baby that wouldn't stop crying. That was my favorite part of the season, but they're gone now. 🙁

I found this post on a Walking Dead forum by someone named DanPo:

walking dead = watership down
if you want to know what happens in the finale....read watership down. walking dead has many parralels (even the main villain is a one-eyed rabbit called 'the general'...similar to the one-eyed 'governor' in WD)
the constant references to rabbits are a big clue.
in the book, a group of rabbits leave their warren to find a new home...meeting many 'baddies' (predators and other rabbits) on the way. one rabbit group they meet, live in a large 'safe' warren and invite the hero rabbits to 'take sanctury' there. but it turns out they are tricking our heroes and, in fact, the warren is fed and looked after by a human who snares rabbits from the warren for their meat. the snare scene we see in the preview for the finale and the painting michone/carl found with the 2 rabbits sharing a carrot are direct references to this false sanctuary in watership down (the painting is actually of a scene from this section of the book/film).
the well kept, dust-free houses around terminus are looked after by the hunters from terminus (just like the clean, empty burrows in this section of watership down). when beth was captured, the scenario was a typical rabbit hunting technique used in rural areas. the house was boarded up except for a window and a coupla doors. one door had a bunch of zombies put in, causing beth to flee out of the only escape routes (where she was kidnapped as she exited). in rabbiting, a warren has several entrances/exits...all are blocked by a hunter except 2...then a ferret is sent down. the open exits are stood over by either a hunter with a gun or a net is placed over the exits. the rabbits are then flushed out and caught/killed.
There are literally dozens or parralels between the two. if you get the chance, read Watership down or watch the movie...it's even more awesome than walking dead.

Again the above was from another forum, but interesting I thought.

Got caught up this weekend. At first I thought they were using survivors as zombie-bait to protect their camp (no zombies around...anywhere), but the cannibal angle is the most obvious. The grill, the ritual stuff with the candles, the fresh entrails, "they become part of us", etc.

The lack of detail in the gunshots on the ground was a little weird, maybe they were shooting tracers or blanks? It seemed really off since they put so much attention to detail in everything else.

I don't know the backstory with the comics, but it's got to be hard to write a show that follows the same path when everyone can just read spoilers ahead of time. I agree about the whole "back in prison/get out of prison" deal, that's why I stopped watching Prison Break in the middle of season 2 - really, they just get back in another jail & have to get out again?

Rick throat-biting was awesome. Holy cow. Makes me wonder if they're going to kill him off in the finale of season 5 (now that he's kind of losing his humanity, although he's gaining it since he's "ok") & pass the torch over to Glen (even the show is focused around Rick). But he's still got Judith to take care of, so probably not.

I really want to know why everyone isn't torturing Eugene to get the classified information out of him. Is it classified in such that only Washington knows, and they have to go there to find out? Or classified in that the nerd knows & won't tell anyone? It's an interesting tidbit of information. What we know is that no one is immune, everyone has it, if you die you come back, if your brain gets squished you're dead, and only humans not animals get it. So it's either human-made or nature-made. It would be extremely difficult to infect the entire world at the same time, so I'm leaning towards nature-made, but they kind of made it sound like someone made it. Best guess is that it's airborne, since everyone has it, although maybe there's some weird timing element with the earth/seasons/rotations around the sun/etc.

Rather than discuss these points with you, let me just point you this way:
Digital version of Compendium 2 (issues 49 through 96) is $3 on Google Play right now. It starts right after the fall of the prison. If the differences confuse you, Compendium 1 is $8. Just spend the $11. I own the physical copies and still bought these because it's so much better on my phone (Galaxy Note 3). Even better on a tablet, I'm sure.

Are those the comics? I'm really enjoying the TV show & don't want to spoil that...

Then read compendium 1. It spoils nothing. Also, understand that they will probably never answer the question of how it happened.

To be fair, that's not really what the show is about. Like when they show up with Eugene to save Glen in the tunnel & they're like hey, this guy knows what's up...he doesn't even care. Their situation is still their situation.

I really like how they examine what happens "after" - how people live year after year, how they break down & how they grow up. Especially what Hershel said - people were dying before from diseases, war, etc., now it's from zombies, but death is still death & they still have to do what it takes to survive - the core concept is the same.

I'm glad they don't plan on ever revealing why/how it all happened... There's just no plausible explanation to explain the scenario that wouldn't be full of holes.

And if something this completely devestating were to really happen, it's incredibly unlikely the few survivors would ever truly find a root cause.

All that being said, I find the Eugene character (and the questions that such a character raises) to be very fascinating.

Well, they were filming at the closed down Newnan Hospital West on Hospital Road again yesterday afternoon. I saw all the Walker Stalkers camped out across the street though I didn't see anything about it online like last time (not sure how they knew ahead of time).
