Wow... Some of you really hate this show. Yet, you still spend a lot of your time watching (and bitching about) it.

I don't get it. I mean, I can't imagine watching Two Broke Girls week after week, AND THEN spending even more time to complain about it on a message board. I find my time much more valuable.

The one thing I love about this show is that everyone is like a Navy Seal when shooting at zombies. But when shooting at people? Forget about it.

I know right? Week after week of bitching but they always come back. This thread is one place I figured I could talk about the show, but most here seem to hate it so it's just nonstop complaining.

Damn this is a loooooong season, started back on Oct 12th! Nearly a 6 month long season, pretty crazy.

Speaking of crazy, the weirdest thing just happened. After I got caught up to the most recent episode, where Merle get's turned into a zombie, I delete the episode off my DVR, then my TV was on the PBS channel, and a movie was on called "Eight Men Out" from 1988, and right fucking there, IT'S MERLE! (Michael Rooker). Hasn't aged much in 25 years oddly enough. Quite a couincidence I've never seen him in anything else besides the walking dead.

Kinda wish the finale wasn't on Easter but I guess that's just how it worked out. Hopefully I can get away from the relatives before it gets too late :)

my wife had never seen Cliffhanger before and we watched it friday night. he is one of the main characters in that along with stallone. awesome movie btw.

i lol'ed when they showed andrea bit. in the episode 3 or so back when she's hiding in the woods running from the governor, the 4 ninja zombies snuck up on her and 2 of them were holding her from behind while 2 more came from the front. she took the 4 ninja zombies out no problem, but 1 zombie that happens to be milton bit her.

I think Carl did the right thing.

Didn't Hershel ask that guy to "drop the weapon"? And all he did was like erm ok and started walking closer to Carl to hand it to him. For all I know, he was planning to do something, that or he's too stupid to follow instructions.

Also thrilled about Andreas situation. :p

Wonder where the governor went.

I think next season we'll have to start two different threads:

The Walking Dead Season 3 - For those who enjoy the show and want to discuss.
The Walking Dead Season 4 - For those who hate the show and want to complain.

The dude was giving his weapon. He didn't look like a bad person. That scene is suppose to show how Carl had changed. He wasn't stupid, Carl, being the dumbass as always, shoots him. ^_^

the sad part is that you guys can't grasp that a lot of the people who are complaining about the show have been loyal fans and enjoyed it since day 1. season 1 was awesome and season 2 it started to go downhill.

i personally think the show is now like watching a train wreck. i've also put enough time into this show that 40 minutes a week 13 weeks out of the year isn't going to ruin my life. i also hope to watch and see the story get better but it seems to get worse and worse. but it is getting worse and worse almost in a b horror movie type of way, and i love b horror movies.

just because a show or movie is a "bad" movie or show doesn't mean it isn't entertaining. i'd guess the majority of the horror movies i've seen in the past 5 years were pretty "bad" movies but they were still entertaining rides.

i have a love/hate relationship with this show. like im glad that andrea died but even the way she died was lame as shit and pissed me off, just like andrea always does. im glad i won't have to see her stupid confused face all the time anymore though.

It's possible to complain and like the show. I've thought some of the complaining in this thread was a bit over the top for a few seasons, but I agree with most of the complaints about the finale. It was just an overall disappointing finale. As a 2nd or 3rd to last episode, it would have been decent, but as a finale it fell really flat.

Yeah, it's still entertaining sometimes, but the writing and show direction in general is just laughable sometimes. It's become the new poster boy (after Lost) for shows that have more filler episodes than actual plot advancement. Also, the decisions a lot of the characters make and a large portion of things that have happened in the past 2 seasons are just beyond believable. Very contrived and cliche.

I think the fact that the show runner has been fired twice and the writers were reportedly replaced once or twice says a lot. I don't think the show has had a cohesive vision for where it's going in a while. Massive pacing issues abound.

I'm considering just recording all of next season and waiting on reviews to determine whether I should keep watching. 40 minutes a week isn't a ton of time, but it's time I could be doing something else if the show continues to crawl because of budget or political issues behind the scenes.

Like I said, I just can't imagine wasting my valuable time on a show that is "a train wreck" that is "getting worse and worse" and "pissed me off"... And then on top of that, spend more time on a message board incessantly complaining about it.

Whatever, it's your time. Having separate threads should make everyone happy. Hey, I'm a results oriented type of guy. :)

It is the zombie apocalypse. They have been chased, hunted, starved, shot at, betrayed and lost loved ones.

They told him to drop the gun and he was not complying. That was his mistake, not Carl's. So what if the "kid" looked scared and not a threat - you just cannot be sure.

Carl did the right thing.

Carl didn't look like a bad person either... can't judge people on the show anymore, nobody is who they seem to be, it's like the one constant on this show. So the other guy was just stupid then, he was asked to drop the weapon, not hand it over while creeping up slowly like he was going to make a move. If anything, Hershel should have repeated his command instead of observing Carl. Then again, considering the writing, I guess anything can happen :\

And then when Carl explained all of it to his dad, it's kind of hard to argue. The look on Rick's face screamed "This sucks. I can't exactly blame him, but it's just so shitty my son has turned so cold in this reality, and I don't know what to say."

I really really liked that scene.

Yeah I'm on Carl's side with this one. Remember he already got fooled once before with the other kid they caught. He's learned his lesson. They told the kid to drop his gun and instead of doing that he was slowing moving towards Carl trying to get him to reach for it. That's exactly how people try shit (especially in movies/TV), and I would have done the same as Carl.

I don't have an issue with what Carl did. If the kid didn't want to get shot he should have tossed the gun way to the side.

The dude was asking to get shot by creeping forward and not dropping it.

IMO, Herschel or Carl should have said "drop it! " one more time. But either way, Herschel was a douche by second guessing Carl, then telling it to Rick.

yet here you are complaining on a message board about people complaining on a message board. not just once, but twice...your time must not be that valuable then.

I'm glad characters are getting cleared out...there are too many.

Remember when T-dogg was the only black character?

Andrea....goodbye! Tyresse hello!!!

The Gov'nor is going to come back meaner and uglier than ever, I think that's cool for now.

Thanks for the teefury link!
