The Walking Dead Season 3... SUNDAY NIGHT!

Last night's episode was both good and bad. The part I hated so much about this episode was how Andrea couldn't escape from the gov. I mean, she loses him in the forest and then comes across an abandoned warehouse and decides its a good idea to go in there. Oh, and look who just happens to show up. 🙄

Why not just keep running?? He's in a freaking truck and can't follow you everywhere.

He loses you in the field... do you A: Keep running in a straight line, or B: double back once he loses sight?

Those writers....

Neither, you go inbetween running at a 75 degree angle away from the direction you were running up to 1 mile, then looping around until you have spun 345 degrees around in which it will now be ok to run straight.

Apparently gasoline just oozes out of the ground magically once the world ends.

Ya I thought in season 1 they couldn't/wouldn't drive anywhere because gas was nowhere to be found. Now it's "shit, I think I left my shovel by the gate... better load up in the F-150, rev that engine up, and drive 30 feet there... fuck if I'm walking in this heat!"

I think there should be plenty of gas. Civilization fell rather quickly so there should be plenty of reserves. Half the cars sitting around would probably have some gas in them. People usually have some for their lawn equipment in the garage. Any gas stations who's electricity failed before they ran out of gas would have some. Then there's probably large quantities in storage, or that were being transported.

Although they should probably switch to diesel vehicles since diesel lasts longer, and you can also burn other fuels. Every decent sized farm is going to have diesel storage tanks.

Yea I would think gas would be plentiful. There are cars everywhere, gas station tanks, tanker trucks, etc. There aren't that many survivors to use it it, and its not like the zombies are using any.

and all that gas is going to go bad, and none of the brand new direct injected Hyundai mini SUV's they drive on the show are going to work on crap fuel.

those andrea zombies were terrible. i said it out loud when she was catching her breath, ZOMBIES NOW! and everyone laughed it off. then, yup it actually happened.

furthermore, in the past, when a zombie grabs you- youre basically dead. she got away from 4 zombies all over her, with just her bare hands.

either the zombies are getting weaker or lazier, or the writers are.
zombies getting weaker as food gets scarcer?

well, you know what that's like.

I'd submit that in the zombie apocalypse, southeastern heat and muginess is still the worst thing to deal with.

You know these people are living without AC, right?

so, they spend a season explaining how resources are accumulated--syphoning gas form abandoned cars, runs to the town to scavenge supplies, etc...

yet, you want them to explain this shit in every damn episode to make you happy, rather than spend time developing characters. Oh wait---no, you want them all to be wooden automatons--like how apparently Andrea should have killed the governor in her sleep, even though that is completely against her established character. And oh, people living in a zombie apocolypse trying to survive with flesh-eating zombies and murderous humans always act rationally 100% fo the time, and should certainly never lose their marbles when they watch 80% of the people that they consider family die from zombies, other people, or childbirth.

I swear, most of you are the absolute worst absorbers of content. No idea why you torture yourselves trying to understand things that aren't as simple as you hope them to be.

Rick going to get guns, was one of the better episodes this season.

It doesn't take a whole season to explain some basics of survival. E.g. Shane tells them to boil the water, they do a cut, and then come back with clean water. 10 seconds of TV time and sterilized water explained.

They haven't been spending time on character development. It's been mostly melodrama and filler.

If you think character development is what they've been doing, explain T-Dogs character development to me. We knew nothing about him, until after they killed him off, then they tried to add a little background to him.

Tell me about Sophia's character development. They did nothing with her until after she was dead, then Glenn went on about how important she was to the group. They never showed that though. Glenn was sitting on the porch when they were looking for Sophia. So his speech doesn't match his actions. Do you call that good character development?

She did vote to kill Randal. She was willing to let a 16 year old girl kill herself. She was willing to let Beth die, but won't kill the Governor when he's planning on murdering women and children. I don't get it. What happened to her wanting to be the tough girl and survivor, like Shane.

And oh, people living in a zombie apocolypse trying to survive with flesh-eating zombies and murderous humans always act rationally 100% fo the time, and should certainly never lose their marbles when they watch 80% of the people that they consider family die from zombies, other people, or childbirth.
When so many have gotten killed, shouldn't it have been the smart ones who made it? Survival of the fittest and all that. They haven't even acted rationally half the time. There is still a ****ing hole in the fence letting zombies into the prison complex.

Since you seem to think you've absorbed the show better than me, and understand the deep character development that I've missed, explain a couple of things to me.

Why do they stay at the prison when it's a death trap, and now a mad man with a larger army is planning to come and kill them all. It's not safe; they didn't lose anyone when they were on the road, now at the prison they are dropping like flies. The fence is down, the wall is down, and they are locked into one part of one building, and only the front courtyards is clear of zombies. The rest of the prison and area is covered in zombies. Plus they are almost out of food and ammo. Even if you think a prison is a safe place, there are hundreds of prisons in Georgia, so why stay at that one? Plenty of places have fences and strong doors.

Why did Rick drive all the way to his hometown to get guns when the Governor could attack at any moment, considering he had already taken the guns and ammo from the sheriff's station. He even told Shane back in season one that he had cleared it out.

It has only been year right? Gas takes a lot longer than that to go bad.

it depends on the car. most of today's cars are looking for high quality fuel. a lot of bikes will not be happy when you try to start them, if you let them sit all winter without stabilizer in the fuel. a lawnmower on the other hand will run on anything.

when i was watching this last episode i was thinking about how it is always dry and never raining in this show. and then i started thinking about past episodes and if it rained.

and i couldn't remember it raining, ever, in this show.

does anyone else remember if it rained at all?
