They don't have to say it in the show...this thing is based off of a Comic book. Only takes a little bit of Googling to find out her name is Michonne, the two Zombies are her Boyfriend and his friend, etc.

Yes they do have to say it in the TV show. The TV show is the show, not the show plus comic books plus fan fiction, websites, wikipedia, youtube clips, etc. There's nothing else besides the TV show, if they fail to explain something in the show then they fail or it's not important. I shouldn't have to google a TV show to understand who non-introduced characters are.

So, are you one of those people who'd rather watch a movie based on the book rather than actually know anything about the book the movie was based on?

That's pretty much what you're saying.

These "spoilers" have been discussed before Season 3 came back on yesterday. Even the producers have been talking about about Michonne's introduction into the show and how they are adapting the story in the show from the book.

Uh...They said what the chicks name was on "The Talking Dead" right after the show.

If people don't want to see spoilers...they shouldn't be reading this thread.

Saying what her name was and who the zombies are AREN'T spoilers anyway. Its common knowledge. Her name has been said over and over by the show's cast and producers before Season 3 even aired.

Not being able to Google or know the reference material for the show is not my problem.

Typical fanboi superiority complex. To people like you, if others don't watch the show, read the comics, watch every appearance on late night talk shows, subscribe to the show forum, and edit the show wiki, then you aren't worthy of watching the show. 🙄

Calling me a "Fanboi"...

That's mature.

Did I say you weren't worthy of watching the show? If you don't want to see "spoilers" don't read the thread. Bitching about not knowing what can be deemed as common knowledge is nobody's problem but your own.

Sorry some of us knew that her name was Michonne and that her two zombie pals are people who were once close to her.

This thread is about the show not the comic book and there is a thread about that so post it there.

Granted it's not much of a spoiler but keep the discussion about the show only here if you would.

It's much like the game of thrones thread about the show and people keep away from the book spoilers since that show follows the books a lot more.

That was good... In fact it was better than most of the 2nd season

I hope the prison doesnt turn into farm 2.0 though

+1

That's part of what killed season 2, 99% of the show took place at one location and it's immediate surrounding area.

Exactly, don't bring the books or comics into this thread until the events you are talking about have already been played out in an episode. Pre-season interviews, late night talk shows, and podcasts do not count.

it's not the spoiler factor its the way you assume it's common knowledge with this air of superiority, and it isn't because it WASN'T IN THE SHOW.

Probably been discussed at length but I haven't been that in the loop...so I will be that guy and ASK...

If getting sick is the result of being bitten...then it would be 'in my mind' the result of transmitting the toxin 'if that is the term' similarly as you would HIV...disease transmitted via fluid...(not that you are getting bitten to get HIV)...

My questions is...they are hacking zombies left and right...blood going EVERYWHERE...you can't tell me that all that infected zombie blood doesn't at SOME point contact an open wound or get in their eyes, mouth or nose?

Wouldn't that infect them at SOME point if that was truly the transmission agent 'for lack of a better term'?

Please enlighten me

Am I the only one who thinks it's funny that people are bitching about the act of shooting a pistol/revolver not being as realistic as it could be instead of them bitching about the massive plot hole from the end of season 2 to season 3's premiere episode?

which plot hole? the whole skipping over 9 months of time?

i'm also wondering why exactly rick is so pissed at his wife. did they explain that?

Yeah maybe not a plot hole per se, but they saw the prison at the end of season 2 and they want us to believe it took them 9 months after the fact to finally get inside? Lol.

Pretty sure Rick is pissed at his wife cause the kid is probably Shane's.

They didn't see the prison at the end of season 2. Only we the viewers did when the camera panned up to show us what was in the distance. I'm assuming events that transpired between season 2 and 3 will be brought up during the season as it goes along.

Whoops I guess you're right. Still though, if they stayed in the same area for nine months how have they not come across it until now? I mean it looks like it was a mile away tops. That just seems ludicrous.

I am guessing it's been more like 6 months as she was preggers for awhile before that but even then I think it was because they kept going in circles as they commented early on about huge zombie waves and having to back track like that.

Who knows but it would prevent almost all close quarters killing then.

It doesn't seem to be so much about the blood from the zombies as simply getting bitten and that would be why the ninja chick chopped the jaws off her two zombies.

They actually did talk a bit about incidental contact with zombie fluids early on, in the episode "Guts". They donned face shields, aprons, and gloves when they chopped up a dead guy. But then it just kind of dropped after that.

You're right, in the real world, zombie fluids would seem to be something incredibly dangerous. But it would be entirely un-entertaining for a TV show.

They seemed creeped out by zombie stuff and try to avoid it, but its hard to avoid.

Not a big deal, like they were emphasizing in the TV show. Don't get any cuts, don't get it in your eyes.

However, now they know that everybody is already infected. So a little bit of zombie goo isn't going to kill them.

To keep from getting bitten when they enter a potentially dangerous situation, they should have been wearing motorcycle suits. Now at least they'll have riot suits.

The problem is wearing the suits will slow you down and prevent you from getting away and tiring you out faster.

I thought so to. They show the zombies just literally tearing people apart. If they can pull your arm off I don't think the suit matters. They apparently have super strength.

I like how the zombies act out their daily routines, like the zombies praying at the church or walking through the field to work etc.
