I voted early and in person today in Atlanta GA. Waited in line for about 25 minutes, which wasn't bad. Looking forward to voting in the Senate Special Election Runoff on January 5th.

Although I can't vote in the US I have just voted in the NZ general election. Currently live in Australia so had to do an overseas vote. Pretty simple. Just had to make sure my details were up to date; downloaded, printed and filled out my ballots; and then uploaded them to the vote.NZ website. The whole process took about 15 minutes.

Well that's because you live in a communist dictatorship socialism!

11.35% of registered Travis County voters have cast ballots. More people somehow turned out for in person early voting on the second day than the first.

97% of eligible voters are registered this year.

Confirmed online that our ballots have been accepted. Dropped them off on 10/9.

We signed up for ballot trace here in Denver. They email us. So smooth. So together. Who says govt can't do anything right?

Still have not gotten my ballot. They are supposed to be here by Friday. Republican Sec. of State felt no compunction to maybe get them out a little early. Must be waiting for the October surprise. Boiling.

I plan on voting on election day, usually not a problem to get in and out around here so I'm hoping it's not a lot worse this time around.

There is already a 3+ hour wait at one of the preferred early voting locations in my county. What’s dumb is that less than a mile away, it was 20 minutes or less at another polling location.

Voted in person at 2:05 PM today. As expected; easy peasy and safe.

Bullitt county KY clerk did an epic job!

I dropped off my ballot and my wife's this morning after going to the gym.

This is my first time voting ever so fuck Trump.
I'm glad you're voting this time around, but please.

Vote every single year. Even if it's mostly uncontested races, please keep voting.

Yeah I will be from here on out.

One positive that came from Trump's run is that I haver never in my life paid more attention to politics than when he was president, but it was for the wrong reasons lol.

Early voting started 10/15 here. There are 16 early voting sites in the county and the BOE has a map that shows the number of voters in line. The average is about 12 - 15 at each site. Weather was nice yesterday, light rain this morning.

On day one, 11,300 people voted in person, and there have been over 22,000 absentee ballots returned. Number of registered voters in county is 190K

This table compares the percentage of people registered by party, and the percentage of that party that have voted either absentee, and during the of early voting. I am not including the Constitution, Green, or Liberian party which is a small percentage. This data is pulled from Board of Elections downloads available on the state website.

Partypercentage of registered voterspercentage of voting to date
Democratic38%55%
Republican23%13%
Unaffiliated39%32%
Democrats do seem to be out early as far as turnout.

Files are updated early in the morning, will be interesting to watch this trend. Going to have to hone up on my Excel formulas to make this easier to extract.

Corrected percentages now after fixing formulas.

Locally here in Travis County the early vote has...accelerated.

Day 1) 35K
Day 2) 38K
Day 3) 39K

Texas as a whole is nearing 20% of 2016 turnout.

Day 4) 41K

Going up every day is not exactly what I expected.

Given the result of the election today that's probably a fair call. Left of centre parties now hold 75 of the 121 seats in Parliament.

Interestingly, despite the NZ election being the anti-election to the US election, and NZ in general being nearly the anti-US at the moment, early voting was also massively popular. Nearly 80% of the votes cast were done before the election. Made for bloody quick counting too. Nearly 99% of the vote counted before the end of the first day.

Don't think any Democrats are undecided, making early voting easy.
