cable. no one cares.

It is rather absurd that this wasn't on ABC (part of ESPN), which chose to show some infomercial horseshit yesterday.

broadcasting shmrodcasting rights--same network. And if you're (ABC) going to spend the previous hour on promo material for the game and the team...shouldn't you show the game?

I hate that crap.

blame FIFA

remember when ABC did show the world cup?

Who the hell cares about the Third World Cup? Real Americans watch Football.

Just be lucky all our best athletes play Football/baseball/basketball or they'd have to call it the US Cup.

So much for soccer supposedly not being popular in America

"With an audience of 25 million viewers for Sunday’s game between the United States and Portugal, the World Cup is moving into elite territory as a sports property on American television. Yeah, world cup is bigger than a lot of other completely crappy sporting events. Probably beats LPGA by a landslide too.

<--- watched the Germany - USA game on a 130inch 2x2 video wall at work today.

You act like that's a feat. Weekly wrastlin has beaten the NBA finals. The horses beat the NBA finals.

I like soccer but stop it. International events will always get huge ratings and are only growing. Look at the winter olympics. When mls games start competing with the big 4 we can talk.
