How are you supposed to wash the Tempur-Pedic pillows? I love mine, but it seems like it makes my head sweat an awful lot, and I'd like to wash it. Is this possible? If not, how could I go about getting the smell out?
what's the best pad for a futon mattress? and are there any stores that sell good quality memory foam pads in southern california (orange county area)? i'd be willing to pay more for something i can return if i need to. please pm me if you can help either question, tia
Last time I was at my local Brookstone, they had tempurpedic mattress pads. I don't remember the price, I just remember seeing them.
BTW, anyone else try those tempurpedic slippers @ Brookstone? I sooooooooo want a pair for christmas.

OK, I recieved my 4" foam mattress from "The Memory Foam Store" last week. So far I like it. For right now it is laying on a platform bed directly on the plywood platform. I am going to put some firm high density foam under it to help absorb some of my weight. My shoulders bottom out when I lay on my side, but I am OK when laying on my belly or back, so another 4" of firm foam will do the trick. I am 6'2" and 235#, so smaller folks may well be fine with just the 4" slab of foam.
The pillows are great. I have a foam pillow from Carpenter that is to form for me, the ones that came with my mattress are a little softer and much more comfortable for me.
So overall, I am very happy with my purchase and with The Memory Foam Store. The folks at TMFS were real cool to deal with. I ended up having to call them to give my order info, and they were great to talk to, very service oriented.

Glad you got one Twerpzilla. Putting it directly on a platform, though, may be a bit much. They are usually used as toppers for a regular mattress. On that note Smartbargains has a new pillow in for $29.99. I might just have to get a second one.
I bought the 3" pad from Mark's 1/2 Price bedding about a month ago. He sells on E-bay or direct for the same price (no advantage to going through e-bay, except that e-bay takes a cut of Mark's profit). I spoke to Mark directly and he was very helpful, answering questions about what I should buy (Tel # is 407-282-6592 - Call and ask for his URL, I can't remember it). I got the 3" pad, two pillows and a travel pillow. So far, I find it to be comfortable, but it takes a "little getting used to." The pad retains heat, so I only use a topsheet now, no comforter (yet - still summer here). I don't move much on it, either. All in all, I am happy, and I have a 60 day guarantee. I would go for it.

Does anyone know anything about the Royal Velvet pillow at Smart Bargains mentioned by clarkmo? If this is Isotonic-like I may go for it...

I've had the 3" matress pad for two weeks now and I am totally satisfied. I weigh 180 pounds and I still have over an inch of foam left after I lay down. So if you are under two hundred pounds the 3" is perfect. For comfort I do not notice a major difference compared to a thick eggcrate matress pad. As for pressure point reduction - WOW! I have never slept better. I have tried 4 different memory foam pillows and they are good, but the pad makes sleep just right.

JC Penney is having their "Biggest Sale of them all" through tomorrow and they have all bed pillows for "buy one get the second one for 88 cents". I called the San Bruno, CA store and asked if it applied to the
Isotonic Pillow and they said yes. I went in and there were no Isotonic pillows in sight, BUT they did have the "Comfort Zone" pillows (normally 59.99 as well). So I got two for about 65 bucks. Like the Isotonic pillows, these are made by the Carpenter Co. - but it still hasn't been established whether or not they are the same pillow. Atrac says he thinks the Comfort Zone is less dense than the Isotonic. Someone else said they thought the Comfort Zone was denser than the Tempur-pedic. From what I can remember about the Isotonic pillow I tried at BB&B last week, I'd say the Comfort Zone is a little denser, but not as hard as the Tempurpedic. Go figure.

I only know about it from a mailer I received - I don't think you'll find out anything about it on the website. In-store sale only. You should call your local store and ask if they have it.

SO has anyone had a chance to test one of the hybrid goose down/memory foam wonder pillows? I saw one at Linens n' Things this week. It was an extra-long pillow, but also pricey at $99.
I've been using the costco foam pillow for like 2-3 months now. I used to have a goose down pillow.
I like the pillow very much and I think it's very comfortable. Strangely I can sleep on my side now with this pillow when usually I could only sleep on my back.
I would highly recommend these pillows, it took some getting used to, but I feel as if I'm getting better sleep.

Been reading this thread for a while now. Couldn't pull the trigger on a $100 Tempurpedic one from BB&B but figured $30 for the TempSoma® Slow Recovery Foam Contour Support #645491 at Sams Club was worth a shot. I've been pleased & my spouse stole it for a couple nights and now we have two.
Was just wondering how many of you have tried Spotdancer's visco-elastic mattress pad and Antimicrobial foam mattress pad combo from campingworld? I'm pretty tempted to give it a try, but just wanted to hear a couple more opinions before I pull the trigger. Thanks.
Dedicated--I've tried the Camping World visco mattress pad BY ITSELF ONLY, and it doesn't do the job for me. My Mom does love the much more expensive pad by Mark's (3", 4#?). She stole it from me before I hadda chance to use it.
