ATi's AA is still gamma-corrected, whereas nV's AA isn't. Whether this makes a noticable difference, I dunno. Screenshots show that nV has closed the gap dramatically moving to RG, though, so I doubt ATi's AA is "far" superior (if that's what Noob said, exactly).Originally posted by: Gamingphreek
Addtionally i find it interesting that Noob continues to say that ATI has far superior IQ especially with AA when Nvidia and ATI use the exact same AA type (Rotated Grid, right?), that on top of the fact that no unbiased reviewer can really tell the difference between the IQ of Nvidia and ATI cards in this generation.
Yeah, SM3 as an "extra" feature is definitely a positive. The X800XL (and upcoming X800) make it look like you're paying a premium for SM3, tho. I'm curious how long it'll take nV to respond by lowering 6800 and 6800GT prices, or introducing 110nm versions.
