Didn't everybody at the time of the first computer say that in 50 years there would only be 5 computers in the world?

You are saying that nobody can ever make the ultimate gaming computer, but someday when there is one, people will look back and laugh.

He's saying the advancement of technology will make it impossible to keep the ultimate gaming system, and there is always the matter of personal preference. To me, the 'ultimate' gaming computer would be in 19" racks... but to others it would be a glowing translucent mass.l lol.

I see your point, but a server dosn't have the graphic power to run games, and alot of colors aren't going to give you extra clock speed, I am trying to find a balance between a bleeding edge computer and a super computer. That is why I call it the ultimate gaming computer.

Anything above an FX-55 or an overclocked 939 @ 2.7-2.8 GHz A64 with two 6800Ultra's in SLI is a waste of money. You don't need a server rack or tower case...you don't need 5 SCSI's or SATA's in raid, and you definitely don't need dual opteron's on a 500 dollar motherboard.

The K8WE has the most powerful graphics capabilities of any motherboard in existance. It iss the only board with 2x x16 PCI-e. All others run two x16 slots at slower speeds.

It's also one of the very few wich have nforce4 pro, which is dual core upgradeable.

Well if developers start using multi-thread programming in their games, you'd be in good shape.

And I don't remember much news about the 16x2 PCIe boards. Is the bandwidth really needed?

with SMP + 2x x16 PCIe how soon with you need to upgrade? That's my take on the board. SMP is going to be mainstream very soon.

Dont take this the wrong way, because you at least are trying and learning from all of this, and your intentions are good. I commend you for that. However, your past gaming system, and this one are not Ultimate. They are merely nice high end systems. Nothing too special.

Giving 'gaming' is ~%90 based on the GPU, get the system i listed earlier, and put vapor phase cascade on each GPU. There you go. Everything else is peripheral/

Will those koolance GPU coolers work with LN2?

Edit: the tubing is all the right size, I'm just wondering if it will destroy the heatsink.

Absolutely not.

LN2 cooling is expendable. It is possible to cool to cryogenic levels and below with cyclic cooling but it's going to be insanely expensive.

Well if money is not a problem <hehehe> perhaps you should consider a regulated coldplate system. With full monitoring and acoustic control it shouldn't cost more than $75k. That's off the shelf and ready to ship. Custom solutions add 15%.
