IDE is a disease to a system so spare no expense, go visit Taipei and have them build you a motherboard with no IDE controllers! :p

Since you would have to contact the manufacturer directly in that case, why not comission BitMicro to make you SAS SSDs? And actually the 2.5" UATA'ss have faster speed on the M-Sys...

Gamers aren't really (as) concerned as a whole with storage speed as they are with graphics.

With that out of the way, see if you can SLI two of these on one board. Four 6800U GPU's should push some pixels for a while.

I think he was teasing as those cards can not be SLIed.

You CAN NOT use LN2 to cool your computer the way you think you can. Its used and an expendable coolant, ie open air, like this

Seriously, extravagant cooling won't help you have a better gaming machine. Water chilled TECs on the GPU would be easy enough to do, otherwise commission someone to make you a vapor phase cascade box with 4 outputs.

No they are 6800 Ultras!

Why stop at N2? I can get you a He system that will take you within 20 microdegrees Kelvin. Gotta have some deep pockets for that one.

Why not stick with cock cooling, add plenty of ram, decent video cards and save the rest of the money? Perhaps some stock? ;)

Just curious, are you gonna use the system for anything other than gaming?
If just for gaming, why don't you get one of those Voodoo SLI or Alienware SLI rigs that go for ~6000$ and save the hassle of all those parts?

Speaking of cooling, have you seen some of the rigs with liquid nitrogen colling?! I mean come on, Shelly! How cold do you need your computer to be before it freezes over?:p

You need at least an LSI 320X-2 PCI-X controller for those drives......

He has a Wildcat, so his score will be low. But perhaps PcMark?
