Rummy's an asshole. There's maybe six people in the Pentagon that like him, the rest wouldn't piss in his ass if his guts were on fire.

As to the article is it common for the BoD to know of every business deal that a company makes? I don't think it is.

Well he did lobby the clinton administration and congress for the deal so in this case yes I think so.

I didn't see the part where it says he lobbied the admin. I think it is also clear he didn't do anything illegal. Trust me when I tell you that I am the last guy to defend Rummy but I don't see the big deal. In one capacity he was acting as a member of a for profit corp. and in another capacity he was acting as a member of our goverment. I would expect his actions to be different.

I think you're being generous calling it a "slant"! It's slightly more than that IMHO. Mind you - that's not to say they never have a point - you just have to read it carefully to make sure the facts bare it out.
