Finding peanut oil has been weirdly difficult lately. I mean any. Then, next thing I know Costco has it in a 3 gallon quantity. I could not use that amount in what's left of my lifetime.
Time to buy big and share or exhange with the neighbours. That's only the way to use it,

2 things..

What you said didn't make my head hurt.. it was that guy's tweets regarding walmart and the following equation that made my head hurt.

2nd.. I don't think they make 3 gallon but 3 liter containers that're like .75 of a gallon? And you tend to go through em faster than you think if you're frying constantly.

I mean I don't use butter for my eggs, I use olive oil because it's good for heart health!

my head hurts after reading that shit.

So today on this very forum I was called a "BURDEN ON SOCIETY" by a member here because I was at a food bank recently.

Anything to call me names rather than try and understand Cooking Oil was $8 under Obama.. went to $16 under Trump's COVID inflation and is now $40 + tax = $44 thanks to TARIFFS.

That's a 550% increase over Obama prices! And my salary has not gone up 550% from then.

That's not a price I can absorb without food aid. And interestingly cooking oil prices have not hit that high in the rest of the world.

It's not the apocalypse but the MAGA Republicans are deliberately creating inflation to blame it on the dems.

Someday you're going to have to come to grips with the reality, they don't want or need your help or your "union, democracy and liberalism".

They always create an artificial problem first just so they can present a solution. Except their solution is to destroy democracy so they can rule the US forever.

Give me half a country over that shit ANYDAY!
Olive oil has been largely impacted by crop issues due to drought and other weather issues in Spain. That’s been a couple of years now. Sure there are inflationary pressures too but it’s like coffee, there’s several factors.

I just had some olive oil and truffle infused olive oil shipped in from a winery we had lunch at in Tuscany Italy.

I’m not sure how much I paid and I’m realizing now that’s why they waited until after the wine tasting to pass out the order forms.

I think we hit 10 different wines (here’s 7 of them) after they figured out it was my wife’s birthday.

Costco sues Trump admin seeking tariff refunds before Supreme Court rules if they’re illegal. I will be shopping at Costco more just on principal they had balls to sue Trump who is a baby will somehow retaliate against all the companies that are currently suing the administration including Costco.
  • Costco filed a lawsuit asking for a full refund of tariffs the warehouse club giant has paid since President Donald Trump imposed “reciprocal” and “fentanyl” tariffs earlier this year.
  • Costco’s suit in the U.S. Court of International Trade notes that it might not be able to get the refunds later, even if the Supreme Court upholds lower court rulings that the tariffs are illegal.
  • Trump invoked the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose those often high tariffs on imports from most of the world’s nations.

I like shopping in that woke place.

I can't wait to see how his followers spin the tariff shit, because according to them they were the best thing any president has ever done for this country. You'd think something so great wouldn't need to be modified and probably killed off.

I know Trump or his cult wouldn't admit in a million years to him failing at anything so I'm expecting to hear all sorts of great maga theories. And like the cartoon posted, blaming every single Democrat. Somehow the tariffs falling was due to a guy who hasn't been in office for over a decade, makes sense...

Trump: We are going to help out the farmers.
Also Trump: I am cranking up tariff for nasty Canadian potash.
I mean that makes perfect orange menace sense.
Tariff something we make very little of (10%), so the farmers pay even more money for fertilizer, and in the end, charge Americans more for the goods they produce. Sorry, the syphilitic orange menace doesn't even have room temperature IQ.

From the movie The Apprentice of which we all know and love:

While Trump tariffs killing the economy Trump tells the country

Let them eat cake
