And sadly, this is how easy it is to get something that you want from Trump. Blow sweet smelling smoke up his egotistical ass, whisper sweet bribes in his ears and this is the intellectually addled whore of whom millions of working class schmucks armed with ballots thought WAS going to be the answer to their prayers. So who do they turn to in an effort to soothe their emotionally fucked over souls? Why none other than the folks who FAUX'ed them over to begin with. It’s not all bad. Trump has a new gold plated office, a new jumbo jet, a new ballroom, his net worth has increased exponentially, he’s sending money and buying beef from Argentina, prices are up and jobs are down, and millions are losing their healthcare. How’s all that winning feeling farmers?

Trading partners have found alternative markets to Trumps tariffs, we are exporting less and importing less and the tax base will have to make that up

"China to buy US soybeans," was one of those empty promises Trump managed to wrestle from Xi, paying with US honor, prestige, and pocketing Chinese "hopes."

Republicans have stuck it to hemp farmers as well. Now they need to go after the dairy farmers and all their immigrant workers. Well at least all our rural farmers can use their snap benefits!

If I purposely went to economic war with rural America with the entire power of the federal government at my disposal I barely could be doing better than this admin and congress.

Isn't it interesting that ICE spends all of its time and effort in Blue cities where they can get the most camera time vs going to Podunk Iowa and rolling up to any dairy farm where they can easily grab all the undocumented immigrants they need to meet their quotas.

That and the fact you never hear about those huge and incredibly dangerous gangs terrorizing entire cities anymore. Apparently ICE took them all down without ever firing a shot.

There have been and continue to be raids on the ag sector. If you look the news is replete with stories about labor shortages both as a direct result of the raids and out of fear that keeps workers away.

The ones I have read involve raids in Blue states like CA. I haven't heard of anything occurring in the mid-western dairy areas, but maybe that's just me being in the N.E.

*edit: or workers being too scared to go to work at farms because of raids in other areas
