With the uncertainty they have constantly sown, businesses are going to be exceedingly slow to lower prices as they will now price in such uncertainty. Just total morons in charge.

A week after they lower them Trump could tweet out 1000% tariffs on China or Europe because of whatever. It's happened so many times that importers will be extremely wary of getting burned because they already have both arms bandaged up.

first of all : lol, lmao

second of all: this admin is about to have a learning experience that is much easier to get prices to go up than to get them to come down

Wonder if this shit is focused on those specific fields

The context was trade. China builds the most tonnage every year by a decent margin. Behind them are the South Koreans and the Japanese. Waaaaaaaaaay at the bottom of the list is the US who only builds stuff for bullshit Jones Act reasons.

We can barely make our own steel.

We do a lot better there. The US is 4th behind China, India, and Japan.

Trump tariffing inputs however is moronic. Most of our imports, about 25% of total consumption, comes from Canada, the EU, Brazil, and Mexico who are (were?) friendly nations.

Must not be making it in Pennsylvania, thinking to myself, why that state turned into such a POS.
