If I can trust one thing in the wake of all this—it’s that the perpetrators of Signal-gate will be held accountable by Congress and that the Administration will have definitely learned their lesson and will not make the same mistake again. Also—there will not be any retaliation against Goldberg or ‘The Atlantic” whatsoever.

Two things are like crack cocaine to legacy news: plane crashes and natsec scandals.

This one is going to break containment to normies I think.

It should just because of the # of cabinet members on it.

Maybe we're reading different sources but I haven't seen much of this. What they seem to have settled on for the moment is that they were only 'attack plans' instead of 'war plans', which... is not going to work.

"No sources, no methods, etc." is where it's moving to now. Think they're still throwing shit at the wall to see if any of it sticks.

This is what I meant by trying to shift the conversation to classified or not. Totally ignoring the rest of it.

Oh I completely agree that Hegseth and others will try and bullshit their way out of this and as @Pens1566 mentions at the moment they appear to be flailing and throwing shit everywhere, hoping that something works. I have not seen much pickup of this from sources other than right wing media and we already know they will just parrot whatever they're told.

In the end the comeback to this is easy - he communicated there was going to be a strike on Houthis and gave the exact time for it. If you're a high value target and you got that information that probably makes it a lot easier to avoid the strike and this is something everyone intuitively understands.

According to pcgeek88 it is all a lie from the reporter even though the administration admitted happened while also saying it didn’t happen while saying it was classified while saying it wasn’t classified 🙄

This is a lie. I never said that at all.

lol. 'This group chat where the people involved were so incompetent they didn't notice the editor in chief of a major magazine was included shows how good they are at their jobs!'
It's not that they're incompetent. It's that they are incompetent, together.

Can you at least say at this point that Goldberg was telling the truth and the Trump administration was lying? I mean he literally released the transcript of the conversation they claimed never happened.
