mk and me are talking about the World Championship in ice hockey, which the Finish National Team won and Sweden came second.

BTW, it is only 11 more posts!

I hope your apartment will have the power included in the rent --- so you can set up a lot of computers and ACs ...
It should also have a good roof top garden for a BBQ! ;)
Good luck!

Only 14 more to post!

I found a basement apartment in a house with central air & hydro included! Looks like I might fire the old 920 back up again!

And a good Monday morning to all! I hope that your hang-over is not too bad, that the "post-BBQ" syndrome has passed well (in every sense of the word ;) ) and that all of you will have a really good week!

Ha, sad that here in the US it wasn't a bigger news story. Maybe if we'd been stronger like in the olympics, but the NHL apparently doesn't shut the season down for the worlds. Congrats to Finland!

@mk: I'll fire up the grill for you guys tomorrow, what's a good finnish item that I can BBQ?

Traditionally men have gathered together to hunt the biggest game in the forest (usually moose, reindeer or even bear) and kill it with their bare hands. The meat is then divided evenly between all the houses in the village and grilled over a fire or hot charcoal unseasoned.

If you live in an area where all you get is some low meat content animals such as squirrels, mice, moles etc. people usually don't bother and eat grilled sausages with some mustard instead. Sadly this is gaining popularity and our manliness suffers as a result. :(

 Moose, reindeer, bear or wolf ... ;)
I started composing my post before you had posted and left for a while only to find that I'd been not only beaten to the answer but yours was short and to the point unlike mine.

I find your - more comprehensive - answer more appealing.
I describe the food.
You describe "Sisu", which Finland demonstrated so well in the finals of the Ice Hockey World Championship.

@Rudy Toody: I doubt it ... sisu is more the state of mind: when you need to be tenatious, couragious, in the face of great adversity and overwhelming enemy strength.

Or rather when you barbeque the bear you have killed barehanded and find it contaminated with trichinosis. It may also need a lot of vodka.

Congratulations on reaching the 1 kp milestone, petrusbroder. :p While it may not be neffing of the highest order (there are better/worse nefs out there) it's certainly of a level to which we all should aspire. May we all be blessed with posting talents such as yours. :D
