Honey Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt (I like Penzeys though Lawrys's will do)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup steak sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce OR 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix everything together until smooth and well-blended.
  2. Refrigerate in covered container. Great on chicken!
  3. Enjoy!

What I put on Salmon yesterday (coho I caught in Alaska) :

.25 cup soy sauce
.25 cup molasses
TSP brown mustard
2 TSP organic ketchup
tsp liquid smoke
black pepper
white pepper

Brushed this on raw fish then dusted with Dill Weed.
Let sit about half an hour on the counter then moved on a cookie sheet to the grill.
Indirect grilled until done, flakey and moist.
The coating kept the fish from drying out and tasted very good with the Salmon.

I was just going for something a little different.

So, why don't you correct that omission.
You can not be accused of double posting since the recipe was in an otherf thread and such a long time ago! 😉

Oh crap, my life is over.

edit: OK that was a bit too melodramatic. My life as I know it is over, at least for a few weeks, maybe months.

edit2:
[FONT=&quot]OK maybe it won’t change that much. 🙁

Just received a notification that my copy of Civ V has shipped.

I just pre-ordered it on steam. you need steam to run it anyway.

played all the way through yesterday on a small map. took 9 hours. maybe I should warn the wifey that she needs to take out the kids and feed the trash for the next few weeks...😉

btw, do you crunch while gaming? I typically do in everything other than DAO, but I've been down to 2 gb ram for the past couple weeks. very annoying!

I am spending the next few days in Newark, NJ. We had some excellent Brazilian grill for lunch. The Ironbound section has some great Brazilian/Portuguese cuisine. Unfortunately it's a work trip. I get to go home for one day (Saturday) and then travel (Sunday) to Marshville, NC for the next portion of the service.

Sure. Sometimes I even crunch while crunching. 😛

Depends on the title I guess. Been mostly playing games at least a few years old without bigger problems even with both CPU and GPU crunching. IIRC I've turned GPU off with DAO and ME2.

Ahhh, fond memories. Guild Wars is the game that finally got my wife into gaming. Hopefully GW2 comes out before she gets back out of it.

🙂 My wife is getting a new machine when that game comes out. New CPU, mobo, RAM, and the best non-ATI GPU I can find at the time. Fun times...
