I think we are fortunate that it is called neffing.

I it had been called petrusbrodering, it never would have caught on!

NEF!

Who's the queen of NEF? Why Queen NEFertiti

What's the official camera of a neffer? Why it's the NIKON, because it can store pictures in the NEF format!

Why is converting nitro compounds into carbonyls the same as slapping a neffer? You get a NEF reaction!

What do neffers take hunting? Why a NEF Excell Auto shotgun!

:D

LoL!

Let's send nitro to all the neffers! Watch them explode, or something! Should be fun! And we will always have plenty of targets!

My neighbor, Wayne, adopted a cat that had never been outdoors. It has been exploring the courtyard and inspecting the gold fish pond. When Alex sees a bird, he sneaks up to the tree and then sits there and meows at it. He has no clue about hunting.

Wayne bought a feeder mouse, set up a video camera, and put the mouse in his bathtub.

Alex jumped into the tub, the mouse froze, Alex sniffed it for a few seconds, and then jumped out of the tub.

A neighbor lady named the mouse Chester.

So, now Wayne has two pets! Currently, he is feeding Chester cat food. Occasionally, Alex looks into the box to see how Chester is doing.

They're not making cats like they used to.

Edit: I think Alex is waiting for BBQ sauce.

LoL. I hope your neighbor is aware that in the long run certain kinds of cat food may be poisenous to mice: they contain too large amounts of taurine (which cats need). E.g. hedgehogs die when they eat cat food.

I went over to my neighbor, Wayne's place to tell him about the taurine in Chester's food.

I was too late! Alex had eaten Chester!

Some of the neighbors and I decided that Chester deserved better than that. So, right now, Wayne is following Alex around with a plastic baggy waiting to pick up Chester's remains so we can give him a proper burial.

To ensure some sense of dignity for the ceremony, we have decided that a closed-casket funeral would be best.

He was fattening him up!! Devious little feline, waiting for later for a better BBQ.

@Petrusbroder-- how long does it take an adult cat to digest a mouse? We want to make sure we don't bury anything that isn't Chester. That would not be dignified!

I wish I would know more exactly, but it may be as short as 12 - 24 hours ... carnivores have quite fast digestion.
But: talking about dignity ... that is very hard considering the situation.

This thread is really diverse and partly very hilarious: from BBQ to cat poop to VodCows to serious sympathy ... what would we do without this thread?

Closed casket - I just love that word.
I know that you can buy caskets for cats and dogs ... but for mice who had passed through the digestive tract? :)

BTW: Isn't it so that the cat does the funeral by himself? Normal cat's behavior is to bury the remains after those who have passed the alimentary canal. ;)
