Had a beef roast sitting in the fridge, made pulled BBQ beef for sandwiches.
Family was appropriately grateful...

Thinking of doing a pork roast for Fathers day.
Cook it slow in the smoker, finish in the oven then pull apart.
MMMMM.....

TGIF. Maybe this weekend I'll whip up some BBQ sauce and slow-cook some ribs or pulled pork too.

Oh yeah - I've got a rack I can throw in while the roast is smoking...
Now that's multitasking!!

Just got a lawnmower for Dad, that I'll also help with the use of. I see why the LawnMooherMen might find it easier to get cattle to mow their lawns. :p Though for this lawn a mountain goat might be more appropriate!

Alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, and antacids --- the four major food groups.

Where's the beef?

One of my favorite things used to be watching the game with the guys, grilling up steaks, drinking beers and smoking cigars.

Happy Father's Day to all of you fathers out there! I had a great one (all except for one thing.) My son came back from a week at Glacier National Park with my parents. We had ribs on the grille, corn on the cob, seasoned potatoes and a great handmade salad with "artisan" greens. The bad thing was that during all the feasting, my PC decided to stop working. My OS drive just failed. None of the typical warning signs. It was a WD Caviar Sept 2007. I have my computer back up and running on a new drive, but now begins the long and tedious restoration of my essential programs.

My six children were here today, I bbq'd a pork roast long enough that the meat fell apart. Made mash potatoes and grilled corn on the cob. I also made a strawberry peach pie, very tasty with vanilla ice cream.

A very nice fathers day.

Yeah, the multitasking is still on. :)

It is interesting to note that Father's day is on very different days in the world ...

Thanks, Liz!

The next time my twin sister and I visit Texas we will have Rudy's BBQ on our itinerary.

Sitting at a beach on the Baltic sea, in the sun, with a mild breeze.
Later tonight a BBQ ... and I am one of the guests ...
A wonderful day, summer is great, the food too, the beer, the wine and the company too! :D

It is Midsummer eve - the official celebration (which is always on a Friday). Many are traditionall drunk, many will end up doing things they will regret tomorrow, and in 9 months there will be a slight increase in birth rate ... also very traditionally. ;)

I myself will do none of the above because I have on-call-duty ... :( but someone has to play the violine, we can not push all the wind throughthe trombone ... ;)

Now it is midsummer's day - soon the night is over. Did not sleep at all ... :( and who wants to sleep during the midsummer?

I want strawberries.

We are going to a party today. It is the 50th wedding anniversary of my Best Man's parents(6-25-60). My Best Man is getting married on 12-11-10, my wife and I were married on 12-1-90.

Any significance to the numbers?
