Very nice, most fish is best when just caught.
I've found that having been outdoors for a few days, camping & backpacking, then catching a fish and cooking it immediately over a campfire is the absolute best.
But cooking on my BBQ at home is good too...

I'm cooking roasted potatoes and asparagus, and grilling salmon. Just FYI. Nothing on par with Peter though...

You aren't kidding! I remember vacationing with my parents and brother in Colorado, we were in the mountains, and pulled over at a spot by a decent sized stream. Dad went out and caught enough brook trout for lunch, mom fried them up in a pan. MmmMMmmm good. As were many fish he/we caught over the years. Never caught any fresh seafood other than crabs in Houston Bay. Good eating!

Crabs are delicious. I love visiting the family in Baltimore and getting a bucket of crabs and just cracking them open and sucking out the crab meat... just some parts of the crab are meh.

Well, I am back now.
Will be at home for the next 3 days - then off on vacation.
I'll post now and then ...

Oh, BTW: we had freezing temperatures last night in the mountain. We also walked up a mountain (1194m - which is quite small ...) and there was plenty of snow ... ;)

We had an earthquake last night - magnitude 4.1, around 00:30 GMT.
Not too bad - I thought the Volvo Truck factory across the river had a major accident ...

We had many earthquakes in the past 24 hours from 5.9 down to 2.6. Probably felt at least 4 of them. A few months ago we had a 7.2.

Well, it is the aliens (which we did not understand in spite of Seti@home) who are shaking the earth to pieces ... ;)

It's because we're so primitive and are assuming they use radio waves.

What is they use something a little shorter on the EM spectrum and talk in infrasonic sounds? :p

May be. But those we would feel in a different way: Billions of people would have some quite viscious head ache, quite a few would vomit ... all would be affected.

Also: please remember that 70% of the earth's surface is water. The infrasonic waves have different speeds in water, also depending on the depth (=pressure) and the whole ecosystem would be much affected - think of the infrasonic sounds the whales produce ...

I guess that infrasonics are out ... at least in such an intensity that the earth would be affected.

Hey. Let's not get too scientific. This is BBQ we're talking about here in the long run. It was just a what if. Plus, I deal with infrasound at work so it just popped into my head (I work at a research department for planetary and geophysics.

Ah, sorry. I did not yunderstand.
So: the hypothesis is that the aliens are trying to conquer the Earth with infrasound not by shaking it to pieces, but to disrupt our BBRs in the vain hope that we would get so frustrated with the failed BBQs that we would selfdestruct?

As I said: vain hope. There is always salmon.

Maybe a little of both. There's been way too many earthquakes here in San Diego in the past few months. AND NOT ENOUGH BBQ. OH NO! IT'S STARTED! >Runs for salmon<
