... and I can not resist the temptation to post the 2 500th post in this thread.

Which is herewith done - ;) and don't you dare to combine my two posts, FMC! :D

This is not a serial posting - the contents of the two posts are totally different.

I just realised that my oldest daughter is going to graduate from school in June this year ...
Why do they grow up so fast? And not faster ... ;)

Friday today - TG! But a togh day: first a lecture, then a 75 mile drive to deliver 2 hours of lecture, then the drive back, the to giva an examination ... all this between now and 17:00 ...

It is - 19ºC outside, as yet clear weather, it may be a wonderful day. But that means that the sun will be low on the horizon for driving ...

Constant sun-in-your-eyes driving. And 75 miles of it. Ugh, that makes me cringe just thinking about it.

I've got a ~2km walk to campus, class for an hour (German 4), and then work for another 6 hours. My official title at work is Code Monkey.

It was not too bad - I took my summer shades - fully poarized, good UV-coating, anti-reflexion coating - just great ...
Cheers, everybody - the week end is on! :D

Ahh. Excellent. I wear glasses, so wearing shades is not an option.

We are going on a train ride tomorrow for Liz's birthday. Should be interesting, as I've never been on a train before.

My shades are optically correct for my eyes - have 20/20 vision with my glasses and with my shades. Very comfy, very safe, very $$$. But worth every cent ... :)

And you don't dare to loose them either ... ;)

Good morning, all!
It is Saturday morning here in northern Sweden.
Just now - 23.7ºC (= -10,7ºF), light wind, no clouds.
The room temp in the computer room (with all 16 riggs running) is a cool 19ºC, which is unusally low (normally it is approx 25 - 26ºC). The noise level is audibly lower than usually.
I hope (for the computers' sake) that the weather stays this way - I have my comps running @max, i.e. OC'ed) but if it gets warmer I'll have to take the CPU-frrequencies down.

OH, sorry for the OT. ;)

I have corrected 33 examination in psychiatry for occupational therapists --- there are more fun ways to spend a saturday ... but WTF, it needed to be done.

Cheers, I have a dark bitter in a 2-pint jar - cheers! :D

It is still below -20ºC.

Getting closer ...

627 _____ PCTC2
594 _____ Petrusbroder
_33 _____ Difference

I thing that PCTC2 is playing with me: he is very busy (and good at) ignoring this thread and thus gives me the hope of getting equal or passing, and when I approach his numbers, in the dark of the night, he will - in the cahoots with FMC - post a number of posts which will steal the win.

OTOH: in the ignoring-class he is one of the top leaders ... ():)

Hey, I'm not in the cahoots with anyone. Well, I don't think I'm in cahoots with anyone. I need to go ask what that means first...

We have just now - 28.3ºC (= -19ºF), sun, no clouds. No outdoor breaks @ schools.
Earlier today we had -32ºC (= -25.6ºF).

We have had 74 days of continuous temperatures below -5ºC - the longest such cold period since 1965/1966 (where this period was 113 days long).

I an other part of my county the lowest temp was -40.5ºC (= -40.9ºF) just some 100 km from my home ...

This is in one way good: no AC in my basement needed: I only open one ventilation hole (4'' x 4'') and have a floor temperature of +16ºC in that room, and ceiling temperature of +29ºC.
