Unless you presume that the "blasters" are NOT 'laser guns' and that "light sabers" are NOT 'laser swords'.

If you stop thinking about them as 'laser this' and 'laser that', it makes more sense (was that word ever even USED in the Star Wars series? Closest I can think of is the Death Star turrets being referred to as 'Turbolasers' - and for all we know that just means using lasers to heat up/create some kind of plasma shell it shoots out.)

The point is that the description of what *exactly* the technology is happens to be purposely vague. It doesn't need to be defined, so it isn't.

It's a story. IT IS NOT A TEXTBOOK OR A THESIS. NOTHING IS PROMISED.

What you are doing is critiquing fantasy with real-world logic. Would you do the same with the a childhood sotry where a witch living in a candy house captures a brother and a sister and tries to eat them with the same scrutiny? Why?

Ever hear of symbolism by the way. It is precisely ebcause of symbolism that circumstantial and sequential logic is sometimes irrelevant in fiction....it is filler material to explain a larger point....

..that my force is bigger than your force..nah nah ni boo boo:p

First of all the witch wants to eat the children because she's hungry... and evil. She lives in a candy house to attract children. How'd she make a candy house? Witchcraft. Why doesn't she just use witchcraft to make some kids, or go raid a town? There is a historical tradition of witchcraft having severe limitations.

And secondly, you may be right. But, I'm sticking to my guns with the lightsaber duels. The duels are the way they are purely for theatrical effect and because the actors are so physically untalented. If you think about it for one second, it doesn't make sense.

the blasters are supposed to be particle beam weapons instead of lasers.

as for the lightsabres... i think it's safe to say the beam is not light

baw hahahaha, thats the sh*t

Ladies and gentlemen of the supposed jury, Chef's attorney would certainly want you to believe that his client wrote "Stinky Britches" ten years ago. And they make a good case. Hell, I almost felt pity myself!
But ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider: Ladies and gentlemen this [pointing to a picture of Chewbacca] is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk, but Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now, think about that. That does not make sense! Why would a Wookiee?an eight foot tall Wookiee?want to live on Endor with a bunch of two foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense!
But more important, you have to ask yourself, what does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense!
Look at me, I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca. Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense. None of this makes sense!
And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberating and conjugating the Emancipation Proclamation... does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense.
If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests

Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, you must now decide whether to reverse the decision for my client Chef. I know he seems guilty, but ladies and gentlemen... [pulling down a diagram of Chewbacca] This is Chewbacca. Now think about that for one moment?that does not make sense. Why am I talking about Chewbacca when a man's life is on the line? Why? I'll tell you why: I don't know.
It does not make sense. If Chewbacca does not make sense, you must acquit!
