More likely that Trump will just decide that SoS is unnecessary government waste, especially because Kusher is already doing all of that stuff anyway. Just another title to tack on to his daughter-in-law.

Kissinger, Powell....so when is Hillary stopping by?

Right after this happens again:

Colin Powell was spotted at the WH today.

The former SoS are kept in the loop on intelligence. One of the strengths of our country is that ALL the former SoS are available to consult with the current one, and from what I understand this is done with substantial frequency (regardless of political party). Hopefully Powell was there to give Trump some real world third party opinion based upon honest facts-something he sorely needs.

I greatly doubt Powell is going to take any sort of position with this White House-he already had his career and reputation forever sullied by WH manipulation, and who in their right mind would trust Trump on anything?

"Naming former President Clinton’s experience as a Rhodes Scholar, Jimmy Carter’s work as a nuclear engineer and George H.W. Bush’s time as a military pilot, Brown told us..."

A shitty pilot who got his wings via nepotism, who then went AWOL, is now on par with being a Rhodes scholar or nuclear engineer? lol

*Seasame Street jingle*
'One of these things just doesn't belong here, one of these things isn't the same...'

HW not GW
Bush Senior served in WW2 if memory serves me right

That's true, also as a pilot. I have to say that GHWB led a truly impressive and mostly admirable life. He's the last Republican president I genuinely respect.

GHWB reclaimed his reputation with me after I saw a pbs(?) show on gulf war one in the late 90s.
Bush had said he watched a clip of an attack helicopter maneuvering around to shoot a guy on the ground trying to hide from it. Bush said the thought of a multi million dollar machine hunting down one soldier was enough for him to say we won & nothing else can be accomplished being there. We don't need a complete surrender.
*not his exact words but a good summary*

At least GW was man enough to wear our nation's uniform and I respect that irrespective of party.

Yep my mistake, I meant of course his dipshit coke addled son.

I don't care for his take on atheists, but he had the stones to go get shot at for his country.

I don't think party has much to do with it really, and respect it or not the uniform doesn't conceal nepotism and cowardice.

GW decided he didn't like dad's cushy TANG slot at the top there and took a vacation in Alabama. Far from serving with distinction, he didn't even finish the cop out.

He's man enough to charge for appearances for Iraq vets too. You'll have to excuse me for not respecting him like I do his father.

Ingraham also asked Mr. Trump whether ongoing vacancies in the State Department were making it more difficult for him to carry out his foreign policy plans.

"I am a business person. When you don't need to fill slots, don't fill them," Trump told Ingraham. "The one that matters is me. I am the only one that matters. When it comes to it, that's what the policy will be."
"

- In other words, what sanctions?

His ethical egoism is so bigly that it eclipses the sun's orbit. The next time I hear someone complain about Trump I'll be forced to ask if they voted last fall because if they didn't I'll be burying my foot into them. We have to do better next time.

How many times does he have to say Tillerson is irrelevant before he says fine, I'm out. Shameful.
