Wouldn't go that far just yet. We could have a reverse Bush/Kerry where the right comes up with a complete moron in 2012.

And unfortunately the pub's haven't been displaying anyone hopeful. Nick, I don't think you have to worry about Palin running, but I'd be scared about who she, and the rest of the socialite neocons endorse.

There are a few other but she would top the list. Perhaps she'll run as a 3rd party candidate and save the GOP the hassle...

More likely she'd run for the GOP, and a third party candidate would benefit from the sane people not voting for GOP. Unfortunately, that still leaves Obama running away with it.

We need Obama to run away with it, the right needs to sit on the sidelines and really figure out what its values are. Right now, all they are doing is playing political games, and spouting hypocritical values that they never follow.

:hmm:

You spend entirely too much time reading the left wing blogs.

Chicago is a big counterweight, but still downstate Illinois has always been somewhat of a GOP conservative bastion.

But at a still six months off to general election, no polls are reliable.

HAHA Good luck with that. Republicans are such tards she's gonna be the front runner.

No, she won't. There's no way after quitting her job the GOP will put her as the front runner. They'll use her to rally the loony right crowd, and bridge some of the Tea Party with the neocon left overs.

Senate:

Kirk (R) 46%
Giannoulias (D) 38%

Governor:

Brady (R) 45%
Quinn (D) 38%

Democrats cant even bank on Illinois anymore. Ouch

Do you read the articles you post ? The senator has issues unrelated to Obama, namely a bank contoversy, and he got a boost in the polls when Obama campained for him.

How does that square with your comments ?

It's Rasmussen so that means it's about even or slightly Dem-leaning. That's good news for liberals.

It doesn't matter who the republicans run, they'll get at least 48% just on virtue of not being incumbents and Democrats. If the person is moderately appealing, they'll probably even win. This is a conservative nation, Obama only won by so much because Bush was so bad. By not playing it 'safe' or having much effect on the high unemployment numbers, Obama has practically dug his own grave, and he probably knows it.

Frankly, I don't see how the GOP can avoid this. I mean, seriously. There aren't too many frontrunners who give much sign of being non-morons.

Hi. I'm a blind partisan

Yes, we know you are and I'm glad you're coming to terms with it, especially considering the numerous wimp-outs you commit in most of your threads. Takes at least a half-man to admit he has a problem.

Oh look at that, your dems are even losing according to the huffington post.

Still think the Dem is ahead?
