Did anyone see this racist video from Roseanne Barr?
Roseanne Barr slams U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her politics and her looks.
https://news.yahoo.com/roseanne-bar...a-ocasio-cortez-politics-looks-021935681.html

She didn't mention AOC's name but there was no issue as to who she was talking about.
Called her this:
"Barr referred to Ocasio-Cortez as a “Farrakhan-loving… bug-eyed bitch.” "

This is the true trump derangement syndrome.

I guess she dropped the pretense that Ambien made her racist.

Batshit crazy

Pre-Reagan economics, you mean when America was great? Can we have that again?
That old fogey used it as an attack, but I'd think of it as a compliment.

Holy !@#$, actually paying her staff is "communism on display".

I can't watch the video right now, but, what was the racist part? Farrakhan loving and bug eyed are not racist terms are they? I don't associate a race to either of those descriptions.

Righties have accused people like me of having Trump derangement syndrome whenever we complain about him. Trump being a vile, piece of filth who is a serial liar and commits transgressions against the United States and a subset of its people on almost a daily basis. The bar for despicable acts has been set so low by his supporters Trump's claim of shooting someone on the street are valid.

Trump deserves his scorn. Now let's take someone who is in the top 5 of right wing boogeymen, who happens to be a woman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. She has just been sworn into office, has yet to commit any condemnable acts yet conservatives are so desperate to smear her a right wing twitter account posted a so called scandelous video of her allegedly in high school dancing. Let's just say it back fired. People now are finding her even more likeable.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...dorable/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.ea638652cb82

Conservatives will look to smear people on the left of upstanding character even when they've done nothing wrong. Remember the standards for Obama scandals? Tan suit in the Oval Office, not wearing flag pin. Righties couldn't stand it even Obama sang an Al Green hit at a fund raiser.

I've been agnostic on AOC but all the hate from righties is making me like her more.

Both sides pick on the low hanging fruit. It is easy to go after low iq. The low iq lack the intellectual capability to fight back. If anybody has listened to AOC speak. They know she couldn't blow her nose if her brains were dynamite.
I am more or less annoyed on AOC. She is a moron and hopefully wont get much accomplished. But it is also annoying she is the darling of the MSM for nothing of value I can determine. Rehashing old liberal tropes is nothing special. And she has a problem communicating that. Sanders can at least express his views in a way that doesnt come off as a 14 year old girl. How many "likes" can AOC fit into a conversation about how tax code works?

But in the world of Drumpf I guess this is what we can expect from our politicians. I never thought the day would come I missed the Obama years.

Wow, and you honestly think shit attitudes like yours somehow should be taken seriously? Talk about low hanging fruit, you seem to be nourished solely on the dingleberries of conservatives. You honestly didn't offer anything I couldn't get more concisely from watching any right wing politician or news source (but I do like how you think you're superior to seemingly everyone).

I think its telling that you seem to associate blowing your nose with brain matter as that would certainly explain some things. I'm guessing you have pretty serious allergies?

The simple reality is she's a very young freshmen congressmen that has decided to pursue fundamentally changing the united states. That's a big step. All she's produced so far is a sales pitch, and quite honestly, not a very good sales pitch in that she doesn't have any sort of actual plan beyond the outline presented.
This s a 29 year old ex bartender talking about a budget that will run into tens of trillions of dollars. It's going to take more than a few trite platitudes to sell this deal.

The so called "low hanging fruit" exists because Fox News and the right ring are teaching you just to hate her. When you have members of the GOP walking around the halls of Congress taking pictures of her ass and complaining about her clothes, that's the low bar. Because the righties have turned her into the devil the other networks get attention just covering her and the cycle starts to self feed.

It's a message that resonates with younger voters. I mean, it's their future, right? It's not like she's on her own or actually been in office more than 2 months, either.

yep, just an ex-bartender. You forgot, she was a waitress as well. And:

"Ocasio-Cortez attended Yorktown High School, graduating in 2007.[20] She won second prize in the Microbiology category in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair with a microbiology research project on the effect of antioxidants on the lifespan of the nematode C. elegans.[21] In a show of appreciation for her efforts, the International Astronomical Union named a small asteroid after her: 23238 Ocasio-Cortez.[22][23] In high school, she took part in the National Hispanic Institute's Lorenzo de Zavala (LDZ) Youth Legislative Session. She later became the LDZ Secretary of State while she attended Boston University. Ocasio-Cortez had a John F. Lopez Fellowship.[24] In 2008, while Ocasio-Cortez was a sophomore at Boston University, her father died of lung cancer.[25][26] During college, she served as an intern in the immigration office during the final year of U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy's tenure.[27] "I was the only Spanish speaker, and as a result, as basically a kid—a 19-, 20-year-old kid—whenever a frantic call would come into the office because someone is looking for their husband because they have been snatched off the street by ICE, I was the one that had to pick up that phone," Ocasio-Cortez said. "I was the one that had to help that person navigate that system."[27]

She graduated cum laude from Boston University's College of Arts and Sciences in 2011, majoring in international relations and economics.[24][28][29]

She launched Brook Avenue Press, a publishing firm for books that portray the Bronx in a positive light.[34] She worked as lead educational strategist at GAGEis, Inc.[35] Ocasio-Cortez also worked for the nonprofit National Hispanic Institute (NHI).[36] She served as NHI's Educational Director of the 2017 Northeast Collegiate World Series, a five-day long program targeted at college-bound high school students from across the United States and other countries, where she participated in a panel on Latino leadership.[24][37]"

The failed sales pitches of trickle-down Reaganomics, massive tax cuts for the uber rich, allowing corporations the same rights as a person, and many other shitty policies from the old mutts in Congress have done nothing but ruined the United States on a major level. In comparison, AOC's 70% marginal tax rate on earnings above $10 million doesn't sound like the end of the world.

Also, in comparison to AOC, we have the current POTUS who:
  • Is a fake billionaire and failed businessman that bankrupted several of his casinos, and to whom no American bank is willing to lend money to him
  • Is possibly owned and willingly manipulated by foreign (non-American) actors
  • Is pushing an idiotic vanity project (BORDER WALL) that is not only ludicrously expensive to build and maintain, but horribly ineffective in its purpose and that around +60% of Americans refuse to support
  • Pushes other unwarranted nonsense like massive tax cuts for the rich and powerful that will only explode and add to the national deficit
  • Has virtually no real understanding of economics, foreign relations, or politics (trade wars are so easy to win, right?)
  • Is trying his damnedest to obstruct and halt an FBI investigation onto him (if he's innocent, then he should let the investigation run its' course and not desperately try to stop it, right?)
  • Is enabling right-wing domestic terrorism on a level almost never seen before
And probably a lot more than what I posted here. Compared to the scumbags in power, AOC seems to have far more credibility than the current POTUS and the entire GOP.

How about the failed sales pitch that "If we just tax the EVIL RICH PEOPLE we will solve all of life's problems"?

You can tax rich folks at 100%, it still won't even fix our healthcare costs - let alone our countless other issues.

But keep on keeping on with the whole evil rich vs. the poor folk, I hear that argument is working REALLY WELL.

Where exactly did I say anything remotely close to "tax the rich and everything will be fine"? Show me.

(Protip: Don't bother, because you won't find it. I never said anything like the above in my original post.)

Again, quote me to where I said that "taxing the rich 100% will fix everything".

(Another pro-tip: I never said anything like that. But hey, good luck with finding that strawman in the first place.)

I never stated that you said such? It's a direct reference to your love affection with AoC - who has constantly advocated with statements that if we just tax the rich more we will solve all of life's problems.

It's what you get from a typical cum dumpster that worked as a bartender her previous life. No real knowledge of facts, just illogical fallacies.

Actually, raising taxes on the Rich is rather popular. Not because they're evil, but because even high tax rates won't hurt their lifestyles to an appreciable degree. Because taxes are currently highly regressive at the tippy top. Because the 1% share of national income more than doubled since 1980, concentrated in the top .1%.
