Because they legit think they're clever and intelligent. Walker would get his ass handed to him by 5th graders on economics. But then fucking 2nd graders doing basic math can all too often refute the economic policies and ideals of Republicans because they have to make shit up in order to make their math work and then when called out on how literally the simple addition/subtraction doesn't work out (even with their madeup figures) they just make up more ones and say "well those will happen" even though they never do. That's actually how Brownback pushed his tax cuts in Kansas, and the economists that are there to keep shit like that in check called him out on it, and his response was that well the tax cuts will actually increase tax revenue because businesses will do so much better and it'll attract so many companies to Kansas. But the average Kansan (including myself at the time) wasn't paying attention, and so they were able to still push it through. Same shit with Walker and his fucking dumbass Foxconn deal.

Somehow I don't think his job description is to "Stand behind youngest House member in history and stare at her posterior like you want her to treat your face like her bicycle seat while 3rd party takes embarrassing picture you staring at said posterior."

It's also worth noting that she's likely the most attractive woman in congress. That's gota count for something.
