That's because Hitler was a crazy bastard who systematically killed 6 million people, mother teresa has as good a chance as anyone in the 20th century to become a saint, and Jimi Hendrix was god's gift to rock music. People don't listen to a guy's music 40 years after it was made because it's the cool thing to do, if that were the case we'd all be praising the greatness that was the Monkey's right now. The reason you still hear Hendrix on the radio is because he is a great musician
But Hitler was also a smart, charismatic man. I'm just saying it's not all black and white.

Jimi was a fabulous guitarist, but his songs just kind of sucked. I mean he had a few decent ones, but for the most part it wasn't really music you could listen to and enjoy. At least I've never thought so. A lot of people disagree, obviously.

I've seen videos where Hendrix was so fscked up on dope that he sounded like sh!t but his studio work for the greater part was golden. You might not like the style and that's cool but compare his version of "All along the Watch Tower" with Dylan's and Dave Mathews version and tell me who is the true artist. Most of his songs were not Melodic so having a great singing voice was secondary to the presentation of the song and his guitar work in it.

Almost invariably I lose days off my life every time I hear any artist do a remake of any song. Top of my head landslide by smashing pumpkins is the only good remake of a song EVER. Everyone else always fvcks them!

FYI "All Along The Watchtower" is Bob Dylan's song.
