The problem with Jimi Hendrix.

That isn't his problem.. All Along the Watchtower wouldn't be the same without that abuse. It's why he is 10x better on headphones than on a stereo system

He really abused the fact that sound could be recorded in stereo.

Other than that,.

Fifty years later, people still have trouble with Jason Pollock too

well, 95% of the guitars you hear in any rock recording made since 1975 are in stereo, so i'm not sure what the problem is.

i do agree that the old practices of putting random things in random places was lame. like all the drums on one side, or bass panned hard to one side. IMO, the drum kit should sound like it does to the drummer, the bass and lead vocals should be mono, and everything else should be distributed in such a way as to have equal sonic energy on both channels.

Yeah, I'm not complaining that it's in stereo, I'm complaining about the fact that stereo is abused. A guitar should not move completely from the right to left channel and back once every second.

Well back then it sounded pretty sweet, especially if you were dosing!

Yeah he's no Celine Deon:roll:
At least she can sing.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say people like him for his guitar playing abilities and not his singing
Yeah you'll never hear Pavoroti singing "All Along the Watch Tower" and "Voddoo Child" at the Met.

Anyway, would do you expect from a die hard Abba fan like Skoorb?

Yes, that is the main reason. That and fanboyism. It's like if you say something bad about mother theresa you're evil, or something good about hitler you're evil, or something bad about JH.

Muddy Waters couldn't sing really well either... Nor could Louis Armstrong.. Both are more beloved and respected and idolized that Celery Dion will ever be.

Red dawn's the only fan of her. She's garbage. I wish she was never born.

That's because Hitler was a crazy bastard who systematically killed 6 million people, mother teresa has as good a chance as anyone in the 20th century to become a saint, and Jimi Hendrix was god's gift to rock music. People don't listen to a guy's music 40 years after it was made because it's the cool thing to do, if that were the case we'd all be praising the greatness that was the Monkey's right now. The reason you still hear Hendrix on the radio is because he is a great musician
