Could it be my experiences (and the majority of the population) are at odds with your reality, hence the so called "double standard"? And you had a lack of experience in stable commited relations and had a predisposition for attracting nutcases? Sorta like growing up in the hood and moving to a picturesque farm in vermont where people ar'nt out to rob you anymore?


No that can't be. Women by in large and men too want to kill one another.

I was not suggesting that my experiences represented those of the majority. I would hope my experiences are not shared by the majority. My point was, just because it isn't happening in four out of every five households, and particularly because its news to you, doesn't mean it isn't happening. I'm willing to bet its not the only reality you're not aware of.
