Miss me yet?
I have a few minutes to dash off a post before dinner is served. Tonight, for the perennially curious, it is to be a New England seafood bake (yay!) accompanied by a Penns Woods Pinot Grigio Reserve, the 2005, in keeping with the local food theme of the evening. I find Penns Woods is a bit overpriced on most of their offerings but the Pinot Grigio is a very fair value.
Where was I? Oh, yes, commenting on your causes for celebration.
Bush is gone, but he wasn't going to run for a third term anyway. Obama, our very own Neville Chamberlain, along with Mr. Foot In Mouth Biden, ran against Bush (though he wasn't in the race) and Palin (who was not the candidate for president.)
The Dim ticket won against a geriatric (with all due respect for Senator McCain) and the Governor of ALASKA (for all of a couple of years! and with all due respect for Governor Palin whom I believe will prevail against the hyperventilating of the national press and the personal attacks against her kids. Stay classy, guys!)
Props to Team OB for overcoming!
Dem Dems are in CHARGE right now! Wow, what a swing to the left!
Only problem is, the country is, on the whole, saying, "WTF, didn't we vote for moderates, not socialists? They sure sounded like centrists, what the h**ll is going on???"
The Congress certainly isn't going to answer that question so they continue on with 10% approval ratings, never looking up from Rahm Emanuel's twinkle toes ever ready to kick some cojones in the sauna, to see the massive reaction where the country votes the bums out. If I am wrong there, I will make a specially big charity donation to the
Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
We have health insurance "reform" now! Wow, the government just imposed a mandate that you have to buy a health insurance policy whether you want to or not. And if you don't, well, Team Obama is hiring tens of thousands more IRS agents to fine you and put you in jail. Got to do something about that unemployment rate, folks, cause those Census jobs aren't going to be there very long!
Which brings me to ACORN, one of the most corrupt groups in the country. A massive criminal enterprise, founded to destroy governmental support services in the cause of revolution, that stands behind the Democrat Party 100%. The lefties cried when ACORN was going down, yes they did. Who would steal votes for them now, cried the little Dems? Boo hoo hoo.
What powerful entity could bring down the largest Democrat organization in the country?
Was it the Repubs? Nah, they couldn't raise a vote or a fundraise a dollar they were so depressed.
Was it the Mainstream Media, the champions of faked investigative reporting and faked documents (all in the cause of Democrat victory?) Nah, they were looking to the New York Times editorial board for their cues and we know how far
their heads are up the donkey's a**.
Nah, it was two kids, one barely out of college, the other one still in. In they walked, into half a dozen ACORN offices, and filmed management and staff ever so willing to commit mortgage fraud, support child prostitution and other nefarious activities.
ACORN heads rolled, yes they did! Damage control by the lefties and the Dems (same thing) went into full swing! But they could not overcome the words that were recorded. There was no overdubbing, the words could not be taken back.
Some thought that ACORN and staff could be brought up on felony fraud charges, for advising tax fraud, for encouraging child prostitution, but that wasn't the case. Giving advice to do so is not a crime, it seems. Even conspiracy could not directly apply to an organization institutionally offering such advice but not committing the crimes themselves.
And that is the crux of the story.
Offered up by Rachel Maddow, the Stan Laurel character of BSNBC, partnered with the jolly commissar Olbermann on two of the most left wing, least watched cable shows running.
When Maddow is not running déshabillé around Portland with her "sisters," she makes snarky and ill researched comments on a cable show derived from her failed Air America stint. And this is the moving pictures source for so many of our lefty peers in this forum, when they can drag themselves away from the DU and the DK, that is.
Anyway, the dinner bell has rung and I must answer forthwith!
Perhaps we might meet a bit later this evening? I have a little more information on ACORN to share. Shhhhh. It is a secret that only those who don't bother with MSNBC might know about!
ROTFLMAO! I have to wipe my tears away before I get to dinner lest they drop into the Pinot Grigio and spoil the fruitiness I am so fully expecting!
