Exactly. It's not a Will Ferrel movie. I've heard from everyone that has seen it that it was very good.
Don't believe them. It's far from "very good". It's fair to good, leaning towards fair, but definitely not "very good". Unless "very good" doesn't mean "very good" anymore because we've had to lower our standards, and then it's "very good". :\

I donno.. I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, and I think Marky Mark should do more comedies. He was hilarious in this movie. Overall, it was a decent comedy, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I do like Will Ferril though. Elf and Stranger than Fiction are still among my favorite movies of all time. Oh and Old School.

Wow, anyone who sings this movie's praises is really really hard up for a laugh. Although I did think it had its' funny moments, all in all it was a totally forgettable movie. Definitely *not* Will Ferrel's best.

Best scene in the whole movie was when Walhberg's character shot Derek Jeter and Jeter called him a "dick", or maybe later on when they were recalling the incident and someone told him he should've shot A-Rod instead.

I am so sick of the car chase/shoot 'em up scenes where the main characters don't get hurt even though their vehicles hit stone walls, defy gravity, and are totally riddled with bullet holes.

The scene where Will Ferrel's mother in law kept coming across the road to tell him what his wife (her daughter) wanted to do to him sexually carried on for an unneeded amount of time. It didn't get funnier as it went on, it got more pathetic.

Hollywood, can you MAKE A GOOD MOVIE sometime?! Please.
Signed,
Desperate movie goers all over

I think the car scenes went over your head. To me, it was more obvious that they were spoofing that very thing - every scene in this movie was exaggerated, they appeared obvious to me.

Like when they pulled up and their car was riddled with bullet holes - that's a send-up to all the movies where the main characters are essentially bullet-proof.

OK... so it was a spoof, but do you see where I am coming from? All these movies have shoot 'em up death defying car feats and the main characters come out unscathed. Granted "the other guys" got shot in the end, but of course only an arm/leg wound when, in reality, all those bullets flying, they'd be dead. I have just grown tired with the unbelievability of it all.

Oh, and I really liked Old School, Elf, but this one, "The Other Guys" just didn't have as much funny as they hyped it up to have.
