Can anyone explain to me why the movie is offensive, other than that it shows a visual representation of Muhammad? I ask because people seem to just assume it misrepresents him or slanders him but, based on my limited knowledge of this extremely poor film, I believe it is an accurate accounting of his life and actions as described in the Koran and other Islamic texts. Please show that this is not the case.
As for Muslims in the US, there are DOUBTLESS many who are firmly on board with the western civilization thing and to them I say, thank goodness for you, you are welcome here and appreciated. PLEASE find a way to spread your way of thinking to other Muslims.
But on the other hand... don't be too impressed that they aren't doing craziness here.
Remember that at present Muslims represent a small, vulnerable minority in the US.
If they had the sort of percentages here that they do in Europe... I feel rather confident you'd see some craziness.
Muslims may be crazy overall but they are not utterly without a self-preservation instinct, they know when they can get away with shit and when they cannot.
