I know Muslim friends here and they are pretty upset about that film but at the same time they aren't going nuts about hurting or hunting anyone. It's the extremists in those countries that want terror. The same ones in charge of 9/11 and every other terror act.

I do agree the film was wrong and disgusting because you really don't see films of Jesus like that. And Muslims do believe in Jesus as a prophet a messenger not as a god like Christians do. What's more offending is the graphic of muhammed and Allah since the Muslim religion does not have a visual image of these they do not have icons or representable figures.

Can anyone explain to me why the movie is offensive, other than that it shows a visual representation of Muhammad? I ask because people seem to just assume it misrepresents him or slanders him but, based on my limited knowledge of this extremely poor film, I believe it is an accurate accounting of his life and actions as described in the Koran and other Islamic texts. Please show that this is not the case.

As for Muslims in the US, there are DOUBTLESS many who are firmly on board with the western civilization thing and to them I say, thank goodness for you, you are welcome here and appreciated. PLEASE find a way to spread your way of thinking to other Muslims.

But on the other hand... don't be too impressed that they aren't doing craziness here.

Remember that at present Muslims represent a small, vulnerable minority in the US.
