Worldwide vs US & Canada. The PS4 has yet to ship to Europe, let alone other continents… Considering the fact that SONY's weakest market was America and that Microsoft's console is geared towards everything America, I think SONY is in a very strong position. I prefer SONY products but will eventually get a XB1, PS3, 360 and PS4 within the next 6 months. There's something on every console that I want...

Hey guys, let me come into the Xbox One thread and defend Sony and their PS4. because clearly somehow, MS selling over 1 million units makes the PS4 function less.

On a better note, I really wish I could get rid of my Forza disc. I have Fifa, DR3, KI all DD. Why doesn't Forza have a special edition DD?

But really, which one sells more will be insignificant for the end user. Both will sell very well, as they always have. Sure, I get that developers will want to develop for the larger platform, but the difference in the end will not be enough to affect that.

Going digital is the best decision I made. Late last night, I realized I hadn't even tested the disc player to make sure it worked, so I threw in a Blu-ray movie (it worked fine). I love being able to switch between games quickly, don't have to bother with the discs, having cases laying around. It doesn't bother me that I won't be able to trade them in or sell them, which I didn't do much of anyway. The trade-off is well worth it to me.

On a different note, I decided to go with Ryse as my third game and so far, I'm loving it. The facial emotions, the lip syncing, the modeling... this is next-gen. When somebody is happy, they look happy. When somebody is mad, they look mad. In an early scene, a character is grinning to a woman and when she turns around, the grin disappears and a look of worry comes across his face. It looks fantastic.

The controls are better than I expected, too. Movement is smooth and I can do what I want. The combat is fun but not deep. You have so much control over what your guy is doing, being able to break out of animations to block is essentially the difference between it being fun and it sucking. The executions are fun so far and I hope they continue to be.

Agreed, I'm going digital with the majority of games, as well. That being said, I did choose disc for Forza, since I wanted the Limited Edition. And Ryse, because it seems like a game that I'll want to resell after the short campaign.

I like it a lot too. And you're right, the facial expressions are amazing.
I get why it got the reviews that it did (repetitive combat, QTE's not challenging, etc.), but the story and the graphics trump those complaints, imho.

Man I suck at killer instinct. I feel like a button mashing kid all over again lol. Forza...what can I say? It is fantastic. Especially the audio. That is one aspect of the new systems I love, the audio is great. Forza, killer instinct, resogun on ps4, killzone on ps4, and NBA 2k14 all have impact from the audio. I have not played any dead rising 3 yet.

As for the sales, both manufacturers likely had a million units produced and sold them through. Not surprising there. I knew they would both sell out.

couple questions that i could not figure out last night.

- is there anyway to make it auto-sign in without having to use kinect? i just want to turn on my x1 and NOT have to click sign in and pick my account.

- is there anyway to default the voice chat to come out of the mic on the headset instead of the kinect, or change it to the headset when the kinect is plugged in? i have my kinect plugged in because for some reason you need it plugged in to use upload studio (makes no sense), but its sitting in the closet on top of the x1. i was playing online last night and talking with my headset on and the guy could barely hear me, then after the match i realized it was picking up my voice from the kinect back behind me in the closet so that is why he could hardly hear me.

- is there anyway to NOT have to click "enable party chat" every time you join a party, and just have it on by default?

those are the 3 annoying things i ran into last night and didn't find any obvious way to solve the issues, especially the first one. seems like some really poor design decisions if that is the case though.

oh and on another note, if someone who has Ryse wants to trade for Knack on PS4 when they are finished with it, let me know i'll gladly do it.

the sound in killer instinct is amazing. if you are in training mode, pause it and press up/down and listen to how just pressing up/down makes the killer instinct theme song. little audio touches like that are so awesome. i unlocked the classic announcer yesterday (5000kp) as well as some other costumes ands tages, but the classic announcer is nice but some of the way he says stuff doesn't have the same impact as in KI1.

online is incredible in the game though, never seen an online game so smooth, especially something so precise and fast as a fighter. no clue how they pulled it off. and man playing with the x1 controller is awful lol can't wait until monday.

actually i'm just going to make a single post with this in it just so it doesn't get lost...

if anyone has ryse or dead rising 3 and wants to trade for knack on ps4 when they are done with it, please let me know, i'd be down with a trade.

If I didnt already own Bf4 I'd think about getting it on the XB1 just because its so much damn fun. Curious to see comments here on how it runs...and I might be tempted to double dip...

I would not recommend that, at least not for XB1. PS4 maybe. I hate to keep knocking on the XB1's visuals, but I'm frustrated. BF4 on XB1 feels like a 'half generation' leap. The aliasing is pretty bad and the framerate stuttering can get REALLY bad on Conquest.

So if you're already enjoying it on the PC, just leave it at that. If you get a PS4 it might be worth it. It looks measurably better there.

There is an option in the settings to turn off Kinect for voice chat, I assume that's what you're looking for. I turned it off because it seemed that setting was for exactly what you had happen to you last night. If I'm going to chat, I'm using the headset.

Point being you said if your'e already enjoying it on PC...

What's the merit of owning it on a console? The PC controls kill a gamepad, but maybe it's just me.

I intended to go digital but I received a pair of games as gifts... Switching discs feels super antiquated considering everything else on the system. I doubt I will buy another physical disc.

so i don't think there is anyway to auto sign in without kinect. that is simply a terrible design decision. i mean xbox360 could do this, why the hell can't they do it on here? i looked all over and could not find anything about it.

and thanks blurredvision, i turned off that kinect setting about using that mic by default.

I'm thinking it's because at one point the Kinect was mandatory for the console to even function. This is one of those small things that will probably get added in an update, but there are likely more critical things that MS has to focus on for the first few weeks.

Because you have friends in real life and want to play with them. The amount of people that play games like Battlefield and CoD on consoles compared to PC is not even comparable. This is the first Battlefield I haven't bought and played exclusively on PC and it's great. I get to sit back on the recliner and play against my friends.

I had it save the password on startup and without kinect it would log me in. I can't find anywhere else that is relevant.

I am a little annoyed I can't play music while I play....Forza has some good music, but I'd like to change it up a little! And the free MS music trial...yeah you can't play while you listen....at least not in full screen...annoying
