I completely agree, but it's been fun to see the justifications from PS4 buyers as to why the PS4 version doesn't look infinitely better than X1.

To me in this day and age detail and texture wise they look the same. How can you say something is better because the lighting conditions are brighter ?

That largely comes down to two things in my view. Either first impressions from a quick glance and only skimming by or from being a fan of one product and blindly hating on another. What we would call being a fanboy. Honestly the games look pretty much even this time aside from resolution and gamma settings.

The best part is, while gaming, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between BF4 on either I'm sure. But, the "omg one is running at a higher (but still less than 1080p) resolution! omg it is the savior of gaming!!"

no no no ... the BEST part is that this stupid ass comparison video is a slow motion video and not a real time video, and it only picks out specific parts of levels to show off.

because, you know, we all game in slow motion all of the time and pause the games to compare stills between the 2 versions, at the same exact point in the game.

I have said this before, when places like Eurogamer nitpick Halo for being below HD resolution internally. When you play the game, after a few minutes, you adjust to the look and feel. Unless you are stopping to look at textures on purpose you would not even notice. With the depth of field and blur filters in use on many titles it really becomes difficult to notice any of this stuff in actual gameplay.

Right that's what I noticed too. If it was full action video and we are sitting a couple feet away, maybe different tv too for each person, the difference is not visible. I think both systems will have good looking games, I just want more games like tomb raider 2013 and the last of us. We know what they can do graphically now it's all up to what each system can deliver in terms of gameplay and style.

Who said infinitely better? Not one person on any article or forum I visited and read has said something like that flat out.

I said that about the lead-up to these comparisons today, not about this game in particular. It's been about how the PS4 is so much more powerful but now that we're seeing some comparisons, PS4 supporters are digging deep for anything they can to prove why the PS4 version is better.

Granted, a multi-platform launch game is a horrible use of comparison, we'll see the real results later on, but it's been fun reading the reactions.

I'm not commenting on which I think looks better, just the justifications that PS4 supporters are using on why they are fairly close in IQ.

No pricing yet, it does run $6.99 on W8/WP8. I'm sure we'll see it at $10 or $15 on the console.

I'd probably buy it for $10 but $15 it would have to be very special.

If the PS4 one looked way better, than all we would hear about is how much better the system is. Since that didn't happen, not looks aren't that important.

Except it does look better. Way better? I dunno...maybe if you nitpick certain areas.

Titanfall will NOT be coming to PS4:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/10/29/titanfall-an-xbox-one-360-pc-exclusive-for-its-lifetime

Wonder how much it cost MS to have EA keep it away from PS4. TBH I will most likley play this on PC, where i prefer 1st person shooters.

This was posted in the PS4 thread too. I don't think the impact will be that big because it's not a launch title. It will be competing against Destiny at that time as well as cod and battlefield expansions. If it was a launch title it could have pulled some people away from one title to that one. Once players are established in an online game that seems to keep a constant flow of players for a while, it's hard to drag them off to play something else.

i'd say take this with a grain of a salt, but this seems like this would be a big ass announcement if true.

it does have the screenshot of the guy playing killer instinct on a 360 joystick too. there is a video of it going around too so it's legit. but i know dev machines aren't necessarily final.

That's cool, since I already have a TE2 paid for I'll keep it and have two sticks provided this is true.

If that was actually true, can you imagine trying to use a 360 on the X-Bone HDMI passthrough? Try to turn on the controller and it activates on which console? Both?

umm, i'd guess that it turns on whatever console you have the controller plugged into...

I disagree with you on this. If it came out head to head with BF and COD on launch, I think it would hurt it's numbers. As it is, it will be coming out right around the time that a lot of people start to get burnt out on those games and may be looking for something new. And any media outlet you go to seems to love Titanfall, so I doubt that this won't impact things come early next year.

Lol media loves any game that has a publisher paying to keep it on the front page too.

That is promising, but I wouldn't hold your breath hoping it to be true.

He could have easily modded the stick with an Xbox One controller board.

Console sales are effectively dead in Q1, so the only thing it will do is hopefully boost up the XB1 attachment rate. They need every exclusive they can get given the very concrete probability that most multiplatform titles will suffer on the platform.

Lol, I love people that say stuff like this. Yes, every single media outlet out there, most of which I don't see any Titanfall stuff on front pages, is in on this big cosnpiracy to build this game up. It couldn't possibly be that good that these people, that are gamers by the way, are just excited for it. Give me a break, if this was a game that you were actually interested in, your tone would be a little different.

As it stands, this game looks to be a system seller. Q1 will be when people have been able to hear from early adopters what these systems are like and when they will start being easier to grab in stores, so having something exclusive like Titanfall on their console will be a big win for MS.
