Hey i just got from the village and well uh... it was a good movie but i dont like how M. Night Shyamalan played with my mind. It kinda pissed me off with all those "scary scenes".

"scary scenes" where a person just jumps out of a closet are lame. Scary scenes like Hitch's old stuff are scary.

i would say it sucks because the director just toys with your mind and at the end he pretty much says how much of a fool u r. Sadly it probably would have been better if i didnt know all the surprises. I went into the movie theater knowing all the surprises but towards the middle of it i completly changed my perspective, and didnt believ what i already knew. A week before today a script of the movie was leaked and everyone who read it found the secret. I was being stupid and asked people what it was and the told it to me. Sorry if this doesnt make any sense.

Surprise you? Good grief man....I just got back from it and had it figured out in the first 20 minutes....wife got pissed when I told her what I thought was going to happen and it was right.
Anyway....damn good movie. Go see it! Don't listen to what the mental midget who started this thread has to say. It's a well done movie.

I just read the abstract in the other thread. It looks like the movie is about amish extremists.
I dunno. They live out in the middle of nowhere. No modern medicine, no venturing outside, no red. Living a lie to keep their community together.
Where did i say that i was afraid... where did i say i didnt understand it... If anyhting u seem like the dumbass. If u came remotly close to what i was saying you would understand that i was complimenting M. Night Shyamalan. he uses certain scens and the trailer for the movie to play with your mind. It made me mad that he was always one step further than the viewer. And i highly doubt you could know the twists in the first 25 minutes... First 25 minutes was introducing you to the village and characters...

Sorry chuckles but I had it figured out.....hell I was thinking that's what it might be before we even bought our tickets. The first 20 minutes of the movie just confirmed it for me. It's not that difficult to figure out really.

What the hell else do you expect? Jeez....you must have the attention span of a 3 month old.

Saw it tonight. Good movie.
However, I do have a question.

The newspaper at the end where it showed that the 7 year old boy was missing for 3 years. How was it 3 years? I'm sure the community was formed more than 3 years ago as there are adults (non-elders) that knew nothing about the society outside.
