Huzzah! Me and the g/f were sitting watching TV the other night and I just off hand said I bet whats "out there" is the real world. She nodded and said she agreed. Guess we don't have to go see this one. Thanks guys. (and I did just pull that out of my arse that night)

Saw it tonight. Good movie.

However, I do have a question.

-SPOILER-

The newspaper at the end where it showed that the 7 year old boy was missing for 3 years. How was it 3 years? I'm sure the community was formed more than 3 years ago as there are adults (non-elders) that knew nothing about the society outside.
Not sure it was related. I think the paper was just to show how f'd up society is and why the people left in the first place.

i just saw it ... i liked it. totally got me into the movie and stuff ...

sometimes i think people rely on reviews, other people, and rottentomatoes to judge whether the movie is good or not.

yup.
i bet my friend some cash on it and now he owes me money.

i actually didnt think the movie was supposed to be taking place in the "19th century" based on all the ads i saw. i was very confused when the tombstone in the start of the movie said "-1897"
why would they have to speak differently and change the years to fool the children?

also: i think all the jokes failed in this movie. at least, when i saw it. no one laughed but once. and the characters just werent doing it. the "scary scenes" werent getting anyone scared. it wasnt even as well-shot as his other movies.
a big disappointment.

i demand unbreakable 2!

Oh really? I guess thats kind of cool. I'm guessing one or more of the people get thru the woods and of course discover its 2004?

didnt you read my earlier post? its a good movie but it pisses me off.
Because you are a mental midget. You should stick to things more your speed. Like....oh......Thomas The Tank Engine...or maybe even Barney & Friends.....assuming of course the big purple dinosaur wouldn't scare you.

Where did i say that i was afraid... where did i say i didnt understand it... If anyhting u seem like the dumbass. If u came remotly close to what i was saying you would understand that i was complimenting M. Night Shyamalan. he uses certain scens and the trailer for the movie to play with your mind. It made me mad that he was always one step further than the viewer. And i highly doubt you could know the twists in the first 25 minutes... First 25 minutes was introducing you to the village and characters...

You were mad because the film had a twist ending? Jesus wept you're an idiot.

i guess u liked the twist?

I just saw the movie this saturday. What a waste of time. I don't know how the movie got so many good reviews (no way is this Shyamalan's best film). Most of the people in the theater I went to hated it too, some even walked out. I liked M knight's other movies but this one was way too slow for me and the "twist" was lame. Plus the movie was not even close to be as scary as the sixth sense. The acting was really good (esp. Bryce Dallas Howard) but it couldn't make up for the silly plot IMO.

M Night Shymalan needs to stop trying to put twists in his movies and focus his whole time in making a GOOD movie.

Signs didn't have any twists, did it?

I for one liked this movie. The ending was kind of lame, but I was definately immersed through the entire thing.
