Not what I said. Signature matching is, however, the only way to verify mail in ballots. I object to signature files being turned over to anybody outside county election officials. You can''t forge a signature if you don't know what it looks like.
Signatures vary over time. And I mean even in minutes it can change.

And we're letting election judges (average age?) look at signatures to determine if they're "similar enough" to count someone's vote?

I get it that it's a method. I'm just saying it's beyond my belief that it's a "security" measure.

Seems to work just fine. Incidents of fraud in mail in states is extremely low.

I don't have a signature. It changes every time and sometimes I don't even fully spell my own name. I've never had a credit card company call me and say "hey did you buy this? the signature looked funny"

The issue with signatures is taking something ill-defined and using the analysis of some volunteer lacking even rudimentary training in discerning something which may as well be witchcraft and using that as a basis for the franchise.

To say it's bullshit would denigrate actual bullshit.

I really hope they get him a good position so he'll be ready in 24 or 28.
Indeed.
Btw, he also compares in the stigma department... first black president, first gay president.
You will have opportunity for a few more first IF you get rid of trumpism.

Texas Republicans at it again, because making voting easy is illegal somehow

The key point in the article-

The court rejected two similar GOP efforts last week aimed at shutting down drive-thru voting, but this new effort asks that memory cards be pulled from voting machines and have all ballots voided.

Just because the GOP keeps going to the well doesn't mean there's any water.

Something like this... And hey, sometimes this tactic works...

Texas republicans denied again.

The federal case is still pending for Monday still.

There is a federal case? Seems odd that the same case was filed in 2 courts at the same time.

One thing that caught my eye is republicans trying to have it both ways. They claim that drive through voting violates the equal protection clause because some counties allow it whilst others don't. However, republicans defended just a few months ago (successfully btw) a suit that allowing mail in ballots only to 65 year old people (who tend to be republican in texas) doesn't violate the equal protection clause because everyone else can still vote in person. It's trying to have your cake and eat it too.

Yeah the federal one is the one to watch. A heavily conservative judge and he actually set a hearing Monday before the Dems even responded to the case.

You're right, they should have to show a positive picture ID at the time of their voting.

This is the one where there's a photo of stacked Texas Drivers licenses (needed to vote in Texas) sitting on a table. Seems legit.
Is that the same image with the laptop with Bidens emails that he is in multiple business deals with aliens from a different galaxy to sell out Earth to Marxists from somewhere in the Milky way?

Holy fuck you people are utterly useless

How does it feel to identify with a party that depends on suppressing legitimate votes to win?

How does it feel to be so out of step with most America?

Requiring a valid identification to vote has now become suppression? Maybe to a select few extreme leftists, but not to most Americans. It's also the law in most States. 36 of the 50.
