I can't get myself to go back to my PS3. AC4 has me hooked. I'm probably going to grab Tomb Raider this weekend since I didn't get it for the old generation consoles. Heard it was worth grabbing if you didn't play it yet, which I haven't.

Even though I played TR before and paid full price for it on PC, I'm thinking of getting it on PS4 to see what the changes really are for myself. That and I thought it was a great game.

I have a bunch of Best Buy reward zone points to redeem...might be able to get it for $30 if I counted right. I have quite a few points pending.

Yeah, I've got $20 in BB points and because they changed their gamer zone program I'll get 20% off full price. So that should put it down to ~$30...if they have it in stock.

Heads up for Canadian gamers. Target has select PS4 games on sale for $25 off this week.

Since I've beat Assassin's Creed IV and already have Tomb Raider, what's the best non-sports, non-COD type game out there right now?

Canada only? US plz? I would buy CoD, Madden, and all the filler shovelware Id never personally play just to have a have a complete library this early on.

There isn't one. AC, Knack, Tomb Raider, Need for Speed, Killzone, Injustice, the LEGO game, and that's it.

Thief is the next one to launch.

Isn't Thief in March though? So, not an awful long wait. I just hope it is half as a good as Thief 2. =(

Could turn out well

A lot of people ended up liking Deus Ex: HR but from the early previews everybody thought it looked awful. Just an unrelated example, but it happens

Cool, thanks for the heads up. Now to find a Target... :hmm:

Not the best example, as I just can't get into Dues Ex: HR at all. I mean, I bought it and have tried like 4 or 5 times and the story just doesn't interest me in the least bit. The gameplay is okay enough, if the story made me want to actually play. Even after reading the plot synopsis, it just seems like a garbage "Hollywood" scifi story; and being a fairly hardcore scifi fan, that is disappointing.

I've been considering doing something recently that probably sounds rather crazy... switching out my PS4 and X1 with my PS3 and 360. Sure, the games are fun, but I just don't care for the PS4 as a Blu-Ray player. I absolutely cannot stand the lack of a remote! It was especially annoying when I went to pause a movie, which I would expect to be X (Play/Pause), but it ended up being O. Sony, we're America. We don't use the Japanese button configuration of O being accept and X being cancel! Also, my TV is good with 3D and I own quite a few 3D movies, but neither next-gen console supports that!

As for the 360, I want to play DDR (I own Universe 1, 2 and 3), and I'm too cheap to pay for a PC-compatible dance pad for Stepmania.

For DVDs it still appears to be X though, which is the really weird thing. I watched a DVD yesterday and I paused using X, but a Blu-ray a couple of weeks back I had to use O. 😵

I have my ps4 on one side of my table, and the ps3 on the other. Until the media features are fixed up, I'll be using both.

Well I don't blame you for still using the PS3 and xbox 360. Its fine to wait it out for a while till more games come out for the PS4 and Xbox one. And there's PLENTY of titles for the ps3 and 360 anyway. I play splinter cell blacklist on the 360 and it still looks GREAT even without installing the HD texture packs....
I'm actually looking forward to getting Metal Gear 5 coming out on March for my xbox 360, although it will probably look the best on the ps4 and xbox one though....

I actually was persuaded to play on the xbox platform because the xbox controller is better for me at least than the PS3 dualshock controllers. The use of Letters and colors on the xbox controller make it a TON easier for me to play games because it just feels more intuitive to me. Also, the LT and RT trigger buttons is a plus.

Although the PS4 controller does seem like a bit more improved with using the trigger buttons which is a plus....
That being said I'm actually somewhat "forced" to upgrade in getting either an xbox one or a PS4 sometime during this year.
I'm waiting for "The Division" by Ubisoft to come out...

I'm not sure what system to get since the PS4 and xbox one both have their good points and bad points....

Thanks, not a bad deal!

It got excellent reviews from Sound & Vision as well as CNET so for the price and features I decided on it over a more expensive model from Denon. Onkyo had some HDMI connection issues in some of their past models and I'm not 100% certain if the new models fixed this. There are some ways people have fixed it themselves but I didn't want to mess with that.

I needed a lot of HDMI ports also and most receivers in this price range have 5 or 6.
